Sturm, Ruger & Company Poker chips (1 Viewer)

Finally! I recently acquired one of these sets & haven't been able to find any history on them. Ruger is clearing out their Southport CT location & I was lucky to get one. My buddy who works there seemed to think they made 50-100 sets.
They got any more for your best bud (aka me)? Killer chips.

Soooo....you have been looking for these for a long time so you could immediately flip it for profit? Confused.
I didn't say I was looking for the set for a long time. I've been looking for info on it since I got it a few months ago. I acquired a bunch of Ruger stuff when they were cleaning out their CT location. This set looked interesting so i've been looking for info on it. I found the post here so I joined to ask a few questions. I'm not a chip collector. Hearing that it's worth over a grand it's now listed online. I'm sorry if that upsets you.

FWIW, I don't think you did anything wrong, but we see this cycle ("I found X, what's it worth? Oh wow, thanks!" - *goes to eBay immediately and fucks off from here for good*) all the time, so a little ribbing from us is warranted for some entertainment. Of course, you could've made more money here as you'll incur eBay fees and the buyer will undoubtedly be from here and bid less due to fees on their side too, but I'm sure going through eBay would make a non-chip person more comfortable, having no familiarity with us. Makes sense and is what it is, we just like to try and keep chips "in the community".

Good luck. Or not. Idc. :sneaky:

I often see some strange prices on eBay for chips and how they have been selling there for literally years!!! 😂

I appreciate that. I honestly never knew that chips were collectible, it's interesting. I don't mind making a few less bucks knowing the buyer will appreciate the set more than I can.
