Story behind the harrah’s cherokee tournament set? (1 Viewer)

Anybody know the backstory of these chips? Were they used in an actual tournament?

Im thinking about making a move on a set of these from apache as a first tournament set.

I was mentioned but then edited out for the correct party.
With that being said the story goes something like one of them saw the 1k chips for sale in the gift shop and inquired about the rest. Most if not all of the 1k’s had been sold but they got the remaining chip and brought them to the community.

Damn, didn't know there were 1ks. I've never even seen a picture of one...

Its not a bright yellow either it goes so well with the rest of the harrah’s set.
