I asked
@Goldfish for some FLV chips to test out, and he obliged me. Now I can see for myself how they look.
Here's my
full report.

I put a black label on top to hide the stark yellow inlay of the FLV chips.
The spot progression is 3TA316, 4TA416, 3TA316, which I think looks great.
Yeah. This is one of three things that detracts from the Paulson fantasy chips from completely blending in. And is probably the biggest thing going against it.

The second is the wear. The Sterlings are casino used, the fantasy chips are not. You can feel the sharp edges of the fantasies, the Sterlings feel almost welcoming to hold. The difference is noticable.

The third is the metal flecks. I love chips with metal flecks. The Sterling 25s have a brass color and the 100s have "silver" flecks. The fantasies don't have any.

Flecks for days.
Being leaded, the fantasies are only slightly behind the Sterlings in terms of weight.

Sterling 25s are 10.586 grams

Sterling 100s are 10.264 grams

Fantasy 500s are 10.036 grams. Which coincidentally follows the progression of weight going down.
I love the fantasy's base color. Being a darker purple helps it blend in a lot. Probably more than the original Sterling 500 be color. (But that's my opinion.)

Conclusion:
All in all, I think the fantasy 500s are a great alternative to the real thing (which seem near impossible to get). Of the three detractors I noted above, only one registers enough to bother me: The non-repeating spot color. But, is this big enough to dissuade me from using them in my Sterling set? No.
These will do nicely.
Thanks again to
@Goldfish for sending these FLV 500s for me to "try out."
