Steam Cleaning Gassers? Rent from HD or Pro? (1 Viewer)

I got some Gassers from a reception hall that bought new wooden chairs.
I want to clean them and am considering the Steamer rental from Home Dep ot.
$30 for the rental + whatever I need to buy (cleaning solution? soap?).

Or I can have it done by a local professional cleaning service for $175 (10 chairs).

Thoughts? Are those rental steamers very good and easy? Or is a pro cleaning worth it?

The chairs appear to be clean, but were stored in a damp musty room.

Professional service is gonna be better than what you can rent.

I bought a Bissell green machine and love it for cleaning my felts and chairs.

Okay, I never bothered cleaning the chairs. But I would if I cared enough.

But I do use it on my felts.

When I bought my used gassers, I just scrubbed the crap out of them with that spray foaming upholstery/carpet stain cleaner. Which worked great. But mine didn’t smell musty.

I wasn’t impressed when I had my couches steam cleaned. I’d go with the rental or green machine…or a few rags and some foaming spray.
