Wanted Starbursts or solids (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I have my first cash set waiting on my doorstep for me when I get home today (Chips Casino, WA) and I am now in need of 2 racks that I can use for quarters.

Was thinking yellow, orange, or pink starbursts. Would ideally like to keep it around $150 or less but am open to offers. Let me know if you anything up for grabs.

Thanks!
Chase

Total, unless there are some true fracs @Psypher1000 . Figured that would be about right for starbursts as far as price goes?

Two racks of orange, yellow, or pink starbursts in good condition are likely to go for $125+ per rack. Two racks of yellows just sold at the BIN prices of $175 and $200 for excellent overstamps and near mint pure stamps, respectively, this past Saturday. Mink pinks will easily go for $125+. Oranges - particularly blaze orange or arc yellow - would likely be up there as well as long as the color is consistent.

It's rare for any rack of starbursts to sell for less than $105 these days.

I agree with Psypher that Starburst especially the lighter fractional colors (yellow, pink, orange) will go upwards of $100+ per rack. But also all Starburst are on the THC mold and your Chips Casino are on RHC mold. I would recommend used roulettes on roulette mold...that would be in your budget and match the mold and condition of your chips better. @Psyperh1000 had a great sale few months ago on solids and roulettes...maybe he still has some leftovers? Good luck with your search.

There are some Starburst hotstamps on the Paulson Chips (formerly home) mold. I do not think it'll be easy to track down a rack of these, and some people hate the mold, but it's a potential option. +1 to the roulette suggestion though.

I really like those hard rock's @Godzilla28

You guys think the yellow ones are snap buy? I sent them a message on eBay just in case they are on here but not sure that would matter or not. I think I need 2 racks so I'm not sure what the best strategy is here. Also, thanks for all of your help!

It's a good price for used Roulettes but too bad they are in France. That drives the costs up. If he has 2 racks, I think shipping from France is like $38-$40 so your dollar cost average will be a little better. It really depends on your needs...do you have a game that is waiting for these chips. Or if you are patient, you can probably score what you really want by placing a WTB ad for Hard Rock roulettes. I know they are out there....just depends on if people are willing to let them go. Good Luck

I will wait. So I want these babies to read roulette on the mold so they match the RHC? From what I found that mold was to allow for bigger inlay?

I don't know if I agree with everyone above. I bought two racks of orange starburst for $75.. Slight color differences but still look work great (very good condition). Just wait for the right opportunity..

2 racks of orange for $75 in very good condition in today's market...I think you lucked out, sir. I really don't think that's the norm nowadays.

I have some blaze orange that I bought 6-7 years ago in mint condition that I want to find a sister rack for. But I havent seen any for sale in years in vg condition. In the last 6 years, only 2 racks that are overstamps in fair condition have popped up.

But I agree that chase should not rush into buying something unless he needs it urgently for his game. It's better to find the right chip for your set or else you'll end up with 60k chips like me. LOL  :ROFLMAO:

I have some solids I'm getting ready to list. Lime green and pink solid ncv from a real Reno casino. Some were warped but I have had good success in flattening most out. They are in excellent condition. I have a few more to do and they will be listed at a reasonable price. Stay tuned. (no pm's please)
