St Patrick's Day Jack Casino Sale - SOLD OUT (1 Viewer)

@BGinGA I get what you’re saying but I think it depends how you are building a set. I love the way these look together. Not too “bright” which I think happens with certain chips.

Spot patterns used on those $100 and $500 chips belong on low-denom chips, imo. Colors used is secondary.

Can I see a pic of the $25 primary & $25 GO with each other (maybe a barrel of each or more), just wondering if they match perfectly as far as edge spots are concerned, it looks like they do just want to double check.

They match perfectly.

So, let's assume you had the $5s, both the primary and secondary in $25s, $100s, $500s and $1Ks ... what would be the best lineup of $5s/$25s/$100s$500s/1Ks, in your opinion?

This one for me, Ken:

Fist one to pick this line up, right? Never said I was making things easier for you, man... :sneaky:

Thanks Paulo. Didn’t expect any less from you :banghead:

And the last box arrived a short while ago... just in time :nailbite:

Weakest chips in the set are the secondary $100s and $500s, along with the quarters (which is a real shame, a bright contrasting red or purple spot would have been awesome). Everything else is super-solid. YMMV.
The secondary $100 are very impressive in person. Didn't think I would like them, but they are pretty sweet IMO

I don’t think the secondary $100 is the weakest but I agree the spots might be better on lower denoms.
I thought about using them as $1s ala Silks but my hands cramped at just the thought of all those labels.

Does anyone know why they used different colors for the GO-5 and Primary 5? My assumption is they would have ultimately kept the GO-5 in play after the opening, and then introduced all the Primary 5’s. But why not keep the same colors as they did with the GO-25 and $25 Primary?

Wouldn’t the GO-5 and Primary 5 have clashed when they were finally in play together?

I just wish more of these chips were still available!! These are the kinds of chips I’ve been looking for for years!
We're late to the party. I've been very mopey. :(

I've found a few sets for sale, but hard to get the quantities I want. The secondary $25 and primary $500 look so good!

I agree, I’m trying hard to find some extra $1s!! And I wish I could have gotten some of those primary 500s. They were sold out quick on even the first sale.

It looks like there are some primary $25 and secondary $100s left. Although by posted pictures they may look somewhat less desirable than the primary $100s and secondary $25s, don't make a mistake of passing on these super minty Paulsons at these prices. Both chips are superb in person and according to many who have put them in play, they are better in splash pots and less confusing as well. Paulo made an excellent suggestion here, and after initially thinking of punting my secondary $100s and primary $25s, I have decided to keep and use them in an exact set suggested by @ChaosRock

What do you seasoned veterans do if you can't get a full set of chips? Does it mess with your OCD? e.g. getting the Jack $25 and $100 (what's left) and then mixing it with other Paulsons when they come up for sale?

Some people are fine with "mixed sets" but IMO that's what relabeling projects are for...

Sometimes it requires a bit of patience. Get what you can now, and then add to the set later. You can always sell the chips if you end up not needing/wanting them. A lot of chips were sold during this sale and a meaningful quantity will hit the secondary market. I presume it's a little slow showing up in the classifieds as people don't want to be called flippers, but if you post a WTB ad, you are likely to get some offers.
