Thought I’d share my poker chip journey (thus far). Started playing at the moneymaker poker boom and hosted small sit n gos with people from work. I had a set of dice chips and I thought they were pretty cool, I mean all vendors clearly stated 11,5g actual casino quality.

Don’t remember how and where I first heard of Paulson but when I first saw the CDI 05s, I knew I had to have them. So I damn well did, even though $1/chip was crazy expensive at the time. Still have the beuties even though I would have liked to add to the set if I had kept up with the whole Paulson-leaving-the consumer market-thing. Happened during a time where I was moving around quite a bit and didn’t play poker at all. Oh well, the CDI pron:

Since I didn’t know how to find addons, I fairly recently picked up these from Apache. I think they go pretty well with the set:

Before that though I decided I needed a proper tournament set and decided to get sunfly ceramics of wsop replicas. Believe they are 2005 version, I really like those. Was a bit cheap and went with unaligned edge spots. Don’t really think it matters and haven’t regretted it. Most are decently aligned anyway and it’s not something that is apparent when playing:

And then lastly I found this place...didn’t take long before deciding I ”need” a mixed casino set. Wasn’t sure how the outpost 5s and LCO 25s would work together. I love them both seperatly. Still not sure but I’m starting to like it. Any suggestions on a reasonably priced thc $5 that mightbe a better fit?

Paris 1s, obviously don’t need to explain myself there. Love the leaded empress 100s and my god the sb 500s. I don’t care that they’re not casino chips. And some people have full sets of these. Not fair...well, onto the pron:

Not sure about reasonably-priced, but PCA secondaries, Golden Eagles, Casablanca Casino, Scandia Casino, or Aruba Palm Beach (primary or secondary) $5s would all fit very well with your set. I'd probably go with the Golden Eagles to maintain the blue color (and shaped inlay) tie-in.

Those LCO $25s are sweet.

Cool! Only the 5k that’s different from mine. I’m probably off on from what year mine are.
WSOP added the second T5000 chip later -- there is a Bud Jones WSOP set thread here on PCF that details the set(s) used from year to year.

Thank you! This will probably be a future project but for now I’m content with the outposts. Have a wallet on recovery..

They sure are sweet, love the blaze spot! I’m actually surprised they were available at a relatively good price and in more than decent condition (albeit dirty as hell). Maybe there are lots of them out there?

Mostly because @inca911 Forrest is a chip saint.

Nice set! Ceramics look amazing. Been buying ceramic samples myself like crazy lol. Can't beat clay, imo, but man ceramics are just gorgeous and feels great

Thanks! I agree ceramics look really nice, great colors. But Paulsons are...well Paulsons. Can’t beat that
