I know this has been covered but trying to justify buying a shuffletech, the group I play cards with plays 4 major tournaments a year and by that I mean 20-30 people and around 10 SNGs a year as well. We usually play with two decks but about 50 percent of the players are brutal at shuffling, I’ve always wanted one but am one the fence because not sure if it would get used and concerned about noise and if it breaks

I got mine last month, built into a drink cart. It can be slightly loud but with the air conditioner and air circulator running, it drowns out pretty well. In terms of the value it adds to our game... immeasurable. I haven't had any major jamming issues and have only had to manually reset it once and that only took a couple minutes after reading the manual. I play single table, so not sure how it will help with multiple tables, but we save so much time now that people don't have to partake in shuffling responsibilities. My cards also are less bent because some people shuffle harsh and bend cards. Personally, I love it and it's my favorite addition to our games, I just hope I run good and it doesn't have any mechanical issues because I hear their customer service is trash. Hope this helps in your decision

Customer service is almost non-existent these days.

I've been trying to get in touch with Rick since July 7 to send mine back for repairs.

He responded almost immediately when I submitted a service request on the website but complete radio silence since then.

I've emailed him 5-6 in between as I want an RMA number or some type of reference before I send it back - otherwise who knows if I'll ever get it back.

That is a bummer. It's a pricey product and I understand the need for maintenance after use but he should at least offer some expectations of turnaround times and stuff.

I have heard rumors about a new improved one coming out soon but I guess that’s been going around for a while now

Dealing 4 or 3 handed, or worse heads up for hours and you can really appreciate these machines. That being said I've only used mine twice and usually end up only using it about half of the time when acting as a dedicated dealer.

It doesn't take much practice to learn how to shuffle efficiently. I don't think I could ever justify one of these machines, even if used and they had perfect customer service.
I'm an excellent shuffler, but unfortunately for my group, people are either slow, bad, or lose focus and forget its their turn. The shuffletech takes care of all those problems for me. I wish it was a touch quieter. As of now I love the thing, though.

I saw a video of a guy who used dynomat in his to help with the sound and soften the hits on the metal side plates during the shuffle.

completely agree. I really don’t want to teach people how to shuffle properly. Hence why I was lucky enough grab a shuffletech in an auction sale. Excited to try and mount it to a side table!!!

I'm only a temporary vendor; in fact my status expires in 3 days. Site vendors are official forum sponsors by providing some money to support the site.

Feedback ratings are also important if you're looking to do some buying and selling directly with other members.
How do I view what you are selling?

Welcome Dave!

Thank You!!!

Welcome Dave.
When I joined the site I was looking to add to my WTHC set but found the wealth of information and those willing to share is astounding. More than just collecting chips.
Enjoy and any questions just ask away, you'll get lots of help.
Cheers
One thing that I’m having a hard time with is the incredible amount of acronyms to learn here! What is “WTHC”? Is there a legend with all the acronyms ??

You're going to love it. As long as you have no technical issues its a fantastic unit.

I am using mine almost 100% for my games. With 2 decks in play, shuffle-time is almost down to zero. I am so happy with it that I bought an used one for spare. If this thing breaks here in Switzerland, not even going to try to use the repair-service...

Yeah, they're great when they work.

I also want to keep my poker gear neatly tucked away. I have been using our main dining table but putting the full 10 person poker table on top (I removed the legs) so a wheely cart close by would make it easier than lugging all the chips from the basement!
