In for £10, out for £40.90. My first big win in the game I host. Hit hands, didn't get coolered and a couple of bluffs sprinkled in.
Awesome chips! I'd love to see a similar set with non-currency denoms (like 1 5 20(25) 100 500 1k 5k 25k), would use them for cash games with any multiplicator unit. Did you consider showing them to Justin or to the "Best yearly chips" link ? I"m sure many ppl would like to have such an elegant set among their more splashy ones.

Thanks, no I haven't seen the thread, can you please link it?

My son was at a birthday event nearby, so I figured I had a couple of hours for a quick poker session at TCH.

In for 500 at a 1/2 table.

Third hand I'm in I get dealt 55. I raise to 10, and it goes over to a guy in middle position that raises to 30. Folds to me and I call out of position.

Flop is Q Q 5.

I check, he bets 25. I'll wait to spring the trap so I just call.

Turn is a 9 which makes two hearts on the board. He bets 35 (odd number). I think and raise to 100. He calls. I figure he definitely has the Q now.

River is a 2. I think and then bet 250. He mulls it over, looks at me and shows a Q. I look back down at the board. He eventually calls and mucks when I flip my 55.

Later on in a double board Omaha bomb pot I flop a straight on one board and river boardway on the other board while the sets and two paris of the other guy bricks out. Guy pushing all the action has the same straight on one board and the A J two pair where I have broadway so I get 3/4 the pot.

Cards run cold for a while and later on I miss my flush draw with an open ended straight draw on a pot that is 3 way all in on the turn. Guy with JT wins whe my Q9hh bricks out so I give back a few hundred. That was a nice $800 pot. Oh well. Time to pick up the kid so I rack up and still go +300 for a 2 hour session. I'll take it.

Playing so many mixed games at our home games, it takes a bit of adjustment to get back to playing hold em and not trying to get into every pot with extremely questionable hands lol.
