Sheldon Smith passed away - RIP (2 Viewers)

Sheldon was the former convention chairperson for the CCA, and he and his wife were at every major casino opening and expansion in the greater LV area, often in the media as an ambassador for the chipping & gaming history community.

Some folks here have had a contentious relationship with Sheldon in recent years, and I can't disagree with the sentiments some have expressed toward him in the past. That said, I hope we might now allow bygones to be bygones and be mindful of his surviving family during this holiday season.

Won many a chip from his eBay auctions. Was part of the “run in” with him a few years ago at the convention but still hate to hear this. He was a bit gruff but he was a chipper like all of us. RIP Sheldon

Definitely not my favorite to deal with, but very sad nonetheless. Was definitely a huge chipping ambassador. Prayers for his family.

My first meeting and impression was not so good; but my last impression was great(June 2018), we laughed together. I bought several chips from him.

RIP Sheldon.

I bought more than a few of the Redfield NCV from Sheldon and was on his monthly email list for years.

He was always a gentleman to me - guess I never got a chance to see the gruff side.

My heart goes out to his family and I hope he rests in peace.
