Not Mine Sets of Paulsons (2 Viewers)

Only 155 $1’s total in the entire lot. I’d be interested in the entire lot, but at about 1/3 of his asking price.

If they had more 500s though you could probably split into STT sets and make a few bucks if you were bored  :ROFLMAO:. Too bad those $100s are stuck with the rest.

Nonetheless thank you @ekricket for posting. Knowledge is power!

$1=155 14%
$5=5710 35%
$25=5765 36%

$500=500 3%

$629,897=16,156 Chips
$22,000 buys them all

At first glance, seemed interesting, even close to a snap buy. But after reviewing in detail, several things not ideal or red flags.
  • No pics of the $1s, $5s, $25s in quantity -- this makes me wonder about if the condition of some chips are much more used than the single barrels or sample set shown.
  • $181 for shipping, for 1110 chips (ouch!)
  • Chip counts aren't ideal, seller is obviously not a chip set collector, but even then, who would divide denoms into 399 chips or 133 chips, and not a round number :confused

The $1s have to be 1500+ -- look at the percentages. More likely 200+, looking at the number of $100s at 12%.

Quantity of $1s in the quote is taken from the individual sets of 1110. Total quantity of $1s overall is 2185

They just responded to me - "I have revised our listing to reflect the correct amount of $1 chips, Thanks for pointing that out."

What you don't think Larry and I know how to copy and paste/read? Egg on your face now @moose ! :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I wonder what his bottomline price for the entire lot is? Has anyone inquired?

The pictures of chips stored loose in plastic bags seems like less than a good sign of what condition these might arrive in. The color schemes also seem less attractive than Jack’s and other RHCs which have hit the market lately. And yet... still tempting.

My buddy said these of been for sale for a while and the guy won’t budge on the price.

I'd get it for 16k and sell it back to PCF members at cost +10%

Message from the seller.

I guess I offered 9500.

It’s actually a lady and she wouldn’t even get my photos of the chips in qty!!! Every excuse, last excuse was they are still on the boat in Florida which she’s not at and down deep in the haul , I told her what’s the use of my buying it if you can’t even provide me with better photos

He refused to recount the 1s for me though.
'I'm trying to sell you $16,000 worth of chips, do you think I have time to count them?' There's only so much you can do with uncooperative sellers sometimes, but maybe they don't realize he could stack the chips in barrels of 20 to 50 chips, and count the barrels.

I'd get it for 16k and sell it back to PCF members at cost +10%
Is that 16k with shipping included? If the seller is charging 11% more for shipping on top of that, +10% is not going to work for you. ;)

So the chips are in Florida, but she's in California, per the eBay location!?! Red flags all over the place in this one. I'm staying far away.

These have been floating around eBay for a couple of years now. Overpriced and sketchy seller. Enter at your own risk.
Risk is low though ain't it? Considering credit card companies and eBay buyer protections?

Whether it's worth it in the first place is something completely differently though  :ROFLMAO:

Well for something like this I'd want to go check them out and pick up in person. Unless you get a really great deal. Buck a chip isn't a really great deal in my opinion.

For closer to 50c a chip I'd be willing to take a chance and rely on the eBay buyer protection if something happened.

Jack chips much better and near same price and yet mint uncirculated and we get to deal with a legit guy @TheChipRoom cant get better then that

What the consensus on what a fair price for the entire lot would be? $1/Chip? less?

Looking at recent Horseshoe casino sales I’d put the $1, $5, $25 at 75c to 80c per chip depending on how used they are. The $100’s at $1.50 to $2 and the $500’s at about $3 each.
