Planning to order a custom 1table cpc set with the following denoms.

T10
T50
T200
T1k
T5k

2.5k buy-in
20/10/4/1

10k buy-in
Starting with T50s
20/10/3/1

These numbers just seem weird to me.

Any advise on optimizing this is greatly appreciated.
The denoms are the way they are becuase I am using non-traditional colors.

Cheers!

The numbers are weird, because the denoms are weird  :whistling:

I'd suggest something like this:

Behold, the world's best 600 chip tourney breakdown for 20 players, T10,000 stacks with rebuys:

160 x T25
160 x T100
80 x T500
140 x T1000
60 x T5000 (or 50 x T5000 and 10 x T25K)

TOTAL BANK: T500,000 (with no T25K)

600 chips. Starting stacks of 8/8/4/7. Do a search on PCF or the blue site for "BCC GCR" and "Goph" and you'll see a couple breakdown threads on the ideal T10K breakdown. My breakdown above is super flexible for all tourneys up to 20 players, and allows you to have T10K starting stacks, which I think is the most popular starting stack size. You'll also have more than enough chips for color-ups and rebuys/add-ons.

Also, I suggest buying a few spares of each denom in case of Murphy.

If you want to go with custom colors, go ahead...I'd personally still prefer to use standard 25/100/500/1000/5000 denoms for a tournament set even if they don't follow the traditional color scheme of green/black/pink/yellow/etc.

becuase I am using non-traditional colors

humm.. advise ; for optimization use a T100 base and use non standard colors instead

T100 x 100 (Red?)
T500 x 40 (Blue?)
T1000 x 120 (White?)
T5000 x 40 (Green?)

10/4/12/3 30k starting stack , 300 chips (including chip up)

Thank you @v1pe and @1A25R

What do you think of the 2k denom?

T25 blue
T100 white
T500 pink
T2k maroon
T10k orange

Depending on the colors you want, you could go with
T1
T5
T20 (or T25)
T100
T500

And may stick with traditional colors - just use cash colors.
T1 Blue
T5 Maroon
T20 Orange
T100 White
T500 Pink

2k are OK if you'll put in play some 10k chips.
But in a 1 table set I do not see this happening .. except is you go very deep like 50K stack

More and more tournaments are going to T100 base. For future if I went down a custom route I'd do the T100 instead of the T25. Players who make the rounds in casinos and clubs will be used to it.

and if you want non-traditional another alternative is the high roller ad go from 25,000 to 1,000,000 chips denomination

Definitely valid options, and might make it easier to deviate from traditional color schemes. Although I prefer a T100 base for easier tracking of blind amounts, stack sizes, betting sizes etc.

I personally don't think I'd ever design a custom set for anything lower than T25 base.

Thank you everyone (@toynoob @1A25R @v1pe @Mr Winberg @Poker Zombie)

Fantastic advise.
Hope to share results in 3 months.
Congrats on moving forward, I personally have not gone the route of customs, but I've read many threads about "I wish I would of" threads. I think we all get excited and rush to get the chips in hand (who can blame anyone there) we over look minor details. Keep us posted and don't be afraid to ask the geniuses here (I am not in that group) for opinions!
