Haven’t played at my local room since 2019 and it’s been closed since March 2020. Does anyone know if it’s coming back or are they done for good?

The Paulsons are used by the casino. Remember, the poker rooms belong to the bingo people, not the casino people.
So do underground/home games fill the void here in Buffalo for now?I will fill you in on some insider knowledge here. There are two business entities here. Seneca Casinos and Resorts (the casino people) and Seneca Gaming and Entertainment (the bingo people). The casino people own the property, but the licenses from the state for poker games belongs to the bingo people. The bingo people have to rent the space for the poker room from the casino people (to the tune of $200,000 a month in 2018 and 2019) for us to have a poker room. A combination of (a) the rent rates and (b) the fact that the dealers really lived on tips and got bupkiss for an hourly wage so they got all of crap from unemployment and had to find new jobs has us in this scenario. I hope it comes back. It probably won't.
Its a good question, I really don't know.So do underground/home games fill the void here in Buffalo for now?
Well at least me and boys got together at least once this year. Maybe it’s back to poker stars for me.Its a good question, I really don't know.
I have absolutely no patience when it comes to online poker. Staring at a screen and waiting for some guy to fold preflop while he's playing ten tables at once is just completely unappealing to me, and I'm not even going to start on the crazy rakes. I can't wait until live poker is back to normal (or at least up and running in some capacity).Well at least me and boys got together at least once this year. Maybe it’s back to poker stars for me.
We do/did a home game on poker stars and we get about a third of us on a zoom while we play. We were doing 20 dollar tourneys almost every other week last year. Haven’t done one since March though, since I had a kid and the other guy went back to work after getting his shot.I have absolutely no patience when it comes to online poker.
