Is this concept of a relabel any good? off center value while the "Supreme Card Room" runs diagonally in the background.

Text colors will each match a color on the chip possibly

Yeah I'm thinking it isn't worth it to relabel the Royals.

For 700 chips:

Nice CPC: $2000

Base CC Royals: $500

Relabeled CC Royals: $800


I feel like if I relabel the Royals I’m throwing good money after bad money as it’s just plastic crap. If I can justify spending about 2.5x the amount to buy real clay then it’s the better choice. Every day I’m feeling more and more like real clay is going to be the best option lol

I think there’s something there… but it’s off. Might be the lack of contrast around the denom, the small name font, or the abundance of white space. I’d keep poking around.

Pretty sure most of the Vegas $10/$20 games run $10; $100;$500;$1000 just piles of $10s in play.

IMO the Royals are a reasonable low cost China Clay (plastic) set that fill a niche in the overall chip market. Putting on a (IMO) horrible looking label can be thought of as throwing good money away, but not necessarily "after bad money". There are several examples of nice looking labels on Royals that create a nice looking and relatively inexpensive custom set.

There are a ton of Tina "ceramic" hybrids that offer low cost and extensive customization options. I don't think that the label above would look good on those either.

Well yes, if you are willing to spend >$2000 for a 700 chip set (at that price they would have to be pretty much the lowest cost/simplest pattern CPC chips), then not many here would try to talk you out of it. Unless you use the same inlay design as you were planning for the Royals. Then I would be suggesting that you reconsider your design and hire someone to come up with a better design.

I would take this option over ceramics most of the time, I would take these over Tinas every day of the year.

Personally I haven't been able to put less than 800 (set) CPCs and I can't get anywhere close to 2k

I'm not crazy about the label design (I think it looks like an overlaid sticker that you are supposed to peel off in order to see what's underneath), but I don't think relabeling Royals is a bad idea at all.
