I have 2,997 Rockingham $2s and 600 $25s for sale. That's right, 3,597 chips!

I'm looking to sell these in two limit sets.
1,000 $2s with 200 $25s. The buyers will have dibs on the remaining chips to add to their sets.

The $2s are relatively worn with some nicks here and there. The $25s are in pretty good shape.

Asking $210 per set (that's just over 0.17 per chip!) Plus shipping. Forgot that part.

Limit nights are awesome - play a ton of different games and if there are massive suck outs (like our TAHOE in hand flush over flush over flush), nobody gets hurt much bankroll wise.

I have a set of limit chips already else I'd be all over this. If you want to get into the limit hosting game, this set is priced perfectly.

Speak for yourself. My wife put me out on the street Sunday night to earn back my missing bankroll from the loss at the pink chip game. It's been 24 hours and far I haven't had much luck out here; Apparently there's not much of a market for my services. So while I'm sure @jbutler was really excited to go home with a big win, he should know that I out here (trying) to sell my body to cover my losses. :(

If they were $2s (like I'm selling) instead of $2.50s, then it wouldn't be so bad.

Damn no one has picked these up yet?

I got 3,000 Rockingham chips from Malaka this weekend and while they are obviously casino used, they are still grippy and stack and play great. I have $1s, $5s, and $25s since my limit games will play with $5s, but if I planned to have a regular game that played with $2s, I would snap these up in a heartbeat.

1000 x $2's and 200 x $25's is an absolute perfect limit set breakdown and you can't even come close to beating the price... can't believe these are still here...

$2/$4 limit, $4/$8 limit... here's your chance to dabble in the mixed games too, Pineapple, Omaha, etc...

Interesting set at an amazing price!

I'm curious: what's the expansion possibilities for this set? Are other denominations available in the general marketplace? I tried looking on eBay but, of course, there's no listings for any chips from RP.

Not a ton of expansion possible really. The card room closed and I ended up with most of the cash chips at the auction. The 1s, 5s and some of the 25s that i bought were split amongst some of my friends and I kept all the 2s with some 25s. There were other lots out there that may go up on ebay at some point but not sure when if ever. They included 1s, 5s and 25s but there weren't a ton of them.

8K are in the hands of PCF'ers that are 1's, 5's and 25's so there are certainly expansion opportunities in the future if one of us sells our sets which, based on history, is absolutely plausible. These are newly in the hands of their owners though so the immediate opportunity is probably not there.

Thanks for the info re: where the 1s and 5s are... I'll need to keep that in mind.

Were there any other denoms sold into the hands of PCFers? For example: the Chip Guide showed there were $20s in the poker room, which (at least in my head) would make buying in to a $2/$4 or $4/$8 game a lot easier (as the $25s force people to buyin for multiples of $50, whereas the $20s just allow someone to hit the bank machine and then buy half / full barrels)...

I'm one of the other stewards of the Rock cash set (1,025 $1, 500 $5, 500 $25). I don't see myself letting them go anytime soon, but if I do, they'll go up on PCF for sure.

There were also 8,000 cash chips that got sold off to a bunch of random buyers. They were sold in lots of 800 chips each (160 $1, 480 $5, 160 $25), which mostly went 1 or 2 to a person. I don't recall any familiar faces among the buyers, and I haven't seen any turn up on CL or eBay yet, but they're probably all out there in the vicinity of southern NH.

There were 20,000-ish tourney chips sold, but I didn't pay much attention to where they went.

@MacGrad In case you're trying to keep track I also have some, but I won't know in the short term whether I would be interested in letting them go. Just moved and I need to figure out what stakes my games will be playing at here, but first have to go house hunting before I even start spreading games.

I have 600 $1s, 1700 $5s, and 800 $25s, so if I can't get a $1/1+ game running regularly then I'll probably be selling at some point, but like Jim, I'll list them on PCF first for sure.

I keep talking to my players about trying a limit structure (it would be new to all of us). None of them are even remotely interested :( Hell, not even sure I'm interested as I have never played in a limit structured cash game. I plan on it next weekend :)

Don't pitch it as a poker night - pitch it as a fun gambling night and just pitch it as a night o play a bunch of weirdo games like follow the bitch and baseball and get destroyed drunk. Then gradually build in some marginal poker games like low Chicago and eventually you'll get it to half real games and half gambling games and boom they're playing limit.

Not a bad idea. Maybe even start it off silly low at 1/2 FL. Provide dinner, shit like that and make it a party. I like it.

I think first I'm going to wait and try my hand at it next weekend at club @courage . I guess I should know a little bit about it before I start advertising it lol.
