Acquired this set from a relative of a dealer from this card-room in New Orleans. The seller's Grandpa ran the parking lots. He found these chips at his Grandpa's place.
Riverside Drive Inn was part of 3 illegal casinos ran by the Italian mob, in the French Quarter. It went by a few different names. Most notably the The Southport Club. The building is still standing and is a music venue.
The places were part of the gambling racket ran by mob boss Carlos Marcello. He was eventually deported by Bobby Kennedy and many speculate that if the mob killed him, this was why. There is plenty of information out there about Marcello and all his dealings.

but still playable! I’m also contemplating milling the $50’s and making them quarters. That way they can get some action and cuz they really pop!
