Many of you know that I have been collection IHC chips for a while now, but I am ready to pass the torch onto someone else (hopefully). I have some other expenses that I am raising funds for and these are on the chopping block. It has been a fun journey for all of you how have help and linked me to new chips! If these do not sell as a complete collection it will be broken up and sold.

I have spent so much time and effort on this collection and it is truly one of a kind. I also know this is a very niche collection so I don't anticipate anyone wanting to buy it outright, but I figured I would see. Most likely will be broken up. Will give it a week or two. Going on vacation next week.

138x chips total, shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

Asking $5750 $5500 shipped for the complete collection.

No, this is not a set.

But... I have a very unique mint high denom, playable Paulson set... $5k, $25k, $100k... in 43mm/48mm... with IHC and Fat Hat molds... for the big boys. :wow:

I can't bring myself to play with it, or do anything really but to stare at it...

4-color chip
Alphadot
Custom UV on Inlay
LaserTrack in Edgespots
UV in Edgespots
Individually Serialized...

Stay tuned in Poker Showcase, my friends... pictures coming soon.

No clue. Only hope for someone knowing would be @GianThaMan. Any idea on when the first IHC chips were produced by Paulson?
I think I remember @BGinGA saying it was in the 80s. The earliest example chip I went through the trouble of verifying was from 1987, for the Peppermill in Reno, but there were probably some earlier.

Well it has to be at or before 1987. So it is technically correct in saying, “about 1990 to present”.
Yea I think we're giving them too much credit. It's not like they came out w/ the IHC mold, molded the first chip, and then held it up to the sky to say, "this is a historic day."

I have a Sands Race/Sports chip (the only Sands LV chip made on the IHC mold) and it says 1970s on ChipGuide/TCR.

All the other Sands chips with the same inlay say 1970s as well in those sources. There are also two incredibly rare Race and Sports IHC chips from Showboat that say 1970s.

I checked the Showboats on the NGCB Chip and Token report, they were issued in 1990. I’ll check the Sands in a second to see when it was issued.

I couldn’t find the Sands on the chip and token report, so I’m not sure when it was issued, but I would doubt the date on the Chipguide. It’s rarely accurate. Even the Peppermill chip which I checked and saw was issued in 1987 is listed as being issued in 1985 on the Chipguide.

Thanks for the info. The only reason I think the Sands would have a better chance of being around then is because it’s the same 70’s inlay, unless ALL those other Sands chips are actually 80’s chips.

Tried to even see if the Sands Sports Book existed in the 70s but couldn’t find that.

The Brown IHC Sands 1k doesn’t seem to match any of the other inlays perfectly. The font is off from the other 70s chips, and the dots are missing on the 80s chips. The sports book chip might have been a separate issue entirely.

Yeah there’s a few differences. I always thought it was a unique chip since it’s likely a very early high denom sports book chip and doesn’t use the house mold.

Split will most likely happen when I come home. Not sure how I’ll do it yet.

So is a split still possible in the distant future? If so does interest in more chips trump existing dibs? Just curious as I have some 43mms of my own but could certainly use more of some but not others. And dependent on price breakdown.
