Interest Rancho Agave bounty plaques interest thread (22 Viewers)

Thanks to all for making this happen. I placed my order in the group buy thread. Great job!

I'm going to jump in here and make an executive decision. We are going to do this plaque. Although teal would be perfect for the marbling it is not available. I chose the light blue because it is more inline with the original southwest color palette. Also, if we are not making the text larger, I prefer we leave off Mexico. Done and done as far as I'm concerned. Make it so. THANK YOU @sleepypiggly

I’ll be honest, I don’t love the black. The lettering and logo look great though. There is already a black chip. I think white/gray/tan would be a better option to contrast the rest of the set. Not my decision of course, just my opinion.

We could change black to charcoal.

You don’t have to do anything on account of me, but I do think it may look better.

I think minimum order is only 100, so if there are enough orders for more than 1 version we can do both? Just a thought.

I don't want to do 2 versions but could see going charcoal if everyone (or most) agree.

IMO, a black chip is very different than a black plaque. The design aesthetics for the black plaque is "negative space" where the emptiness directs your attention towards the centerpiece, the marbled agave plant and the wording "BOUNTY." So I don't think it will conflict with the black chip. It is basically a light blue plant that will glow on the table.

In addition, having a charcoal background now introduces an additional color to the otherwise minimalistic plaque, because the border/stroke/shadows of the text are already black.

Alright, sorry for the last minute changes. We're having a debate over which design is more preferred.

1) Original smaller marbled agave inside the inner raised borders:

2) New oversized marbled agave outside the inner raised borders:

Which one do you guys prefer?

I'll probably regret it, but I think I am passing on these. I do appologize if that screws up the count.

Edit…moved order post to the right thread.

Original or oversized agave plant? We're having a last minute preference call out between the two versions on this thread. Please respond to your preference here.

Unless, the group needs to switch to a certain size to get the numbers …

I should probably mention that I am out as well and it has nothing to do with the design. I am desperate for a Bounty option, but I am just not a fan of plaques no matter how hard I try to convince myself to like them. Best wishes on this project.

I like the original……..
we have a choice, between blue and green?
There will only be 1 version made (for now at least).

@TheChipVault chose the light blue as it is much closer to the original "teal" of the agave plant, in-line with the southwest color palette.

The green offered by Tina looks a bit dark for this plaque, but I don't have one in hand to know for sure.
