Hey All,

Since the last dutch auction i did went okay, i decided to do another one. So, up for auction is cash set of Outpost Casino chips. Conditions vary depending on the chip denominations. I have tried to describe the conditions as best as i can estimate, but please take a closer look at the pictures and judge for yourself. They could use a light cleaning and some oil, but otherwise are fine.

If not for split spots, these would be mine mine, all mine!
I love the colors, breakdown is great, super cool old-skool chips. I've always been drawn to these.
GLWS. They're beauties!

I'd happily take the split spots.
If not for the lack of disposable income, these would be mine all mine.

For what I like and the game I play, this is the closest thing to a perfect set that I've seen.

If not for split spots, they would have never left my collection ... :coffee:

Wait out the drop. Thats the point of a dutch auction after all. (y)

Huh, never heard of the concept of a Dutch auction before. Learn something new everyday! Thanks PCF :)

GLWS!

yep.

Those quarters and one are pretty sweet. I really like the colors.
Oh yeah. These are the only inlay quarters I can think of that aren't on the RHC mold. I bet that rack alone would sell for $300, quickly. Maybe more.

this will be fun...great idea (y)

question for anyone:

in a dutch auction is it a must to post what percentage the next drop will be?

could you put a range like 5% to 15% ?

or could you not forecast when or what the drop will be?

dont think i could let mine go at that price

it would not surprise me to see someone snipe these at the $1,200.00 before your drop

I don't know about all that. Honestly, I'm just making it up as I go. Trial and error. So far so good. :coffee:

thanks i was just thinking for the future...it seems like a fun process

TBH, I don't see any difference between doing it this way vs listing at a high price and dropping the price randomly until the chips sell ... at least this way people who want the chips have a time and date to look out for.

I could live with the split spots, simply adds character imo. Not my preference, mind you, but not a deal-breaker. What tilts me to no end is the uneven stacks due to the differing condition of the various chips.... and one of the reasons why I typically no longer buy used chips.

Ah, to have scored a set of these in mint condition.... they are beauties. :)

They aren't the only ones, but there aren't many out there. There are two versions of Outpost Casino (San Ramon and Pacheco). Harrah's (Reno), Horseshoe (Southern Indiana), Four Queens (Pai Gow, house mold) are a few others:
