This was my first set of non-dice chips many years ago, I've been meaning for a while now to complete it. If anybody has any of these please let me know. Looking for barrels of 100's and above.

12g printed plastic w/slugs - there is really nothing else out there that is exactly like them. Were originally available from SB Supplies, who eventually gave up on the poker supplies business. Great guys.

Very solid choice for a cheap set - they stack pretty well, and come in some great colors. Only real downer is that all spots are black/white regardless of denomination. I have about 3500 of 'em.

FYP ;)

You nailed it @BGinGA I bought em' from SB probably somewhere around 10 years ago, I've always loved them and always had great feedback from my players. Are you willing to part with any?

Yep, same here. Great chips for the price point, imo. I initially bought a tourney set for our very first league championship final table in 2005. I added on several times, including the high denomination chips (25K and 100K) that SB added to the lineup at my request. I bought a bunch more when they closed shop, and later picked up a decent size set on eBay that had smaller denominations for cash play.

We still break out the Prestige Pro 727 chips for our league's Anniversary tournaments (always a hit with those players that used them long ago), and I use the set occasionally for contracted poker parties/charity events or as a loaner set for friends hosting large events. I eventually replaced them for league play with injection-molded Dunes commemorative chips, then ceramic Venerati's, followed by the china clay Pharaoh's, then fell down the mint casino Paulson hole (secondary PCAs were the specific guilty party). Currently using the GCOP tourney set from BCC, with an occasional casino Paulson set thrown in the rotation.

I'd be willing to let go of the extra chips I have (those in excess of even racks). Shoot me a PM with what you need and I'll see what I have to spare.

Did you find what you were looking for? I bought 2000 of these from SB Supplies (they closed not long afterwads)just outside Los Angeles a while back, most of them are still in wrappers, some wrappers broke. I am selling off some of my chips, and I have all denominations for this set I can part with. Let me know if you're interested....

Thanks,
Lou

Yes if you have the originals from SB Supplies. I recently purchased some from a dealer in Canada but they are a completely different chip, thicker, wider, and heavier. PM with what you have and what you want for them.

Looks like these chips are available on eBay again. You can buy them by denoms in quantities of 50 or 100.
Search "prestige pro 727"

I bought a 1,000 chip set a few years ago and the seller "$shipping-free$" was able to set up a private auction purchase with my custom quantities (in multiples of 25/per wrapped roll). You can probably email them and request.

Like many of the slugged chips, they're on the heavier side about 14grams. Considering the price, I like the colors and design, being different enough from other inexpensive options.
I've since given the chips away to a friend who hosts tourneys and people do like them.

The new ones are crap compared to the old ones hes looking for

Yes, the newer production run is a totally different chip, wider, heavier, taller and a different colour. The one on the left is the new style 14g and the right is the original 12g. The plastic is totally different too. The originals stack well with little movement and the new ones are just like any other slugged junk.

Good info, thanks for noting the difference.
Relative to its price point though, I still think the newer slugged junk has its place and still better than lots in that category for casual league players that don't know any better... I played a "Main Event" that had a weird mix of different dice chipsets that put me on tilt LOL.
Around these part though, standards are high :)

Good luck on your search!
