A couple days ago, I saw some discussion about Kings Crown chips that ensued within a sale thread. The thread is now closed, so I hope it's ok if it's ok if I ask my newbie question here. In the discussion, people mentioned that the Kings Crown chips originated from a group buy in 2005. This is confusing to me, because I bought some in spring of 2000. Are there different batches of these?

The pic you posted is of the 'stock' KC chips that could be ordered at any time. The GB was for custom colors and edge spots, but the same inlay.

There were two well known group buys around that time frame.

These pics were from the two GB's. There were also GB's for solid and spotted hot stamps.
