Amazing! Custom set from back in the day that never saw play?
These were chips that you were able to order via TR King before they closed, but more than likely was a set that came to life after the Rounders movie.

There are only a small number of these out in the wild. I'm not sure if there was only one buy of these ever or it was something you could have ordered whenever. Most of the sets are all held together/sold together.

There's some early pcf history on these here:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/teddy-kgb-chips-from-tr-king.8382/

A big lot was sold here by a french member who had purchased about 5000 of them directly from TRK right before they closed.

I remember thinking people were crazy wanting to buy these at $3 each ten years ago. It was right around the time when I started chipping, so obviously I figured they were crazy. I'm don't know anything about the original earlier GB, but I'm sure @gmunny is correct that it was probably on chiptalk? The thread i linked mentioned @Apache also buying a lot for resale. Maybe he remembers any details?

Edit to add:
Mentioned in the thread from 2015 by @joeyshin that the GB was in fact on the 2plus2 forums..

It could have been 2+2, i'll have to check through my notes when i get home. Before CT was created, 2+2 and another site called THP (texas holdem poker) used to have sub forums related to home poker and poker related equipment. I recall that the first TR KIng chips i saw as a Kings Crown GB on 2+2. Then there was the Egyptians Chipco started there as well. THP was the first place i saw Vineyards and Crystal Park sets.

If anyone has any extras I’ll even pay $3.50 a chip!

I wish I was old enough back then... If this was in 2005, I was only 5 years old :(
