.5/.25/1/5 is the best out of those 3 options. the .10 wouldn't go with .25 for option B and the .50 wouldn't go with 1 for option c in any of my sets. hope you find the right set for you! (y)

$.25
$1
$5
$20

Book it.

I was really low stakes when I started playing more seriously. Played low stakes with my buds for 20 years.. but as I began to appreciate poker more, as I grew, as my understanding of the game increased, so did the stakes. I still enjoy low stakes games, but the smallest stakes for me are $.25/.50. Imho anything less becomes just a luck fest, as people never fold and it’s less real to me... that’s just me.

Interested in your journey, make sure you take lots of pics along the way.

We've been playing since 92 (grade school) and had the real weekly game going since 2004. The game started with 5¢ 10¢ blinds. Now the regular game was 10c/25¢ with a 5¢ ante.

I would like it the to be those denominations alas I don't have the people to play that.

Also they fold all the time. Like the 10/20 10 ante game we had I rarely got to a river. It was a fun night.

OH and pics for sure.

Thank you.

Option A, with the addition of $20 and $100. With enough of each denom, you could spread anything from .05/.10 to 2/5 or even higher. Good chips are expensive, so I want a breakdown with the most flexibility.

I have 100 green chips shown in the picture that are going to be $20. If I need 100’s I’m ordering plaques.

If your game needs hundo chips, you've likely already upgraded to paulson chips. The slope is slippery my friend.

I like $20 chips but a green $20 tilts me... probably because in every game room and poker room I’ve been to, the green chip represents 25 in both cash and tourney.

I've never played lower than 25¢/50¢ but the 5¢/25¢/$1/$5 follows the 4-5x the previous denom progression. Plus, if you do move up stakes to 25¢/50¢, you just need to add $5s and $20/$25s, not buy a whole new chipset.

Gene at abc didn’t have yellows! I have orange plaques for 20’s with my super diamond set and orange chip for my spirit mold set (the yellow were flimsy.)

Of those pictured I'd go with white, black, or purple for the $20. White and black are both cali colors for a $20

I voted other.... I've got all of those denominations in my cash set, although not on the table at once.

That said, I've used the 5p (5c) chip I think only once. If you've a use for it as an ante then fair play, otherwise...

Yeah it is chip for antes. 10c 25c blinds with 5c ante in the game we use Super Diamond set. we did 10c 20c blinds with 10 c ante we use for that new spirit mold set.

I was moving the antes in our games to 10c because we also like to play stud games as well and to get other people to play it needs to be relatively cheap.

Shouldn't have had the black chip in that picture. Black is going to be my $1 because I have 600 of them now. Red will be $5 (almost did the pinks) blue 25C and grey 5c.
