Looking for a poker table in the near future for 6-8 player (self dealing)

Some pros and cons I have heard:

Round:
+ Better for socializing
- Space for people could be very tight

Oval:
+ Big enough
- But more for 8+ people
- people are sometimes too far away

Pub:
The best of both worlds?

Thoughts?

I have both round and oval (pics in the link in my signature). My players tend to gravitate toward the oval. I also have a 108" oval (largest size of the standard ovals) and we fit 10 comfortably. Conversation is not an issue. Only slight downside is dealing from the ends, since it is longer than standard. I also personally think that the oval tables look really classy.

Octagon table be like:

Super-ellipse FTW

Better sight lines than standard oval (stadium), less pointed ends than true ellipse.
That’s what I have, for 8 it’s really roomy but still great for conversation and sight lines. If I was cramped for room I’d say pub. I have one of each. For 8 max the pub size is perfect too.
