Ran the Argosy chips last week. Whites a quarter, green are nickels. Notched, drilled and over stamped. Besides that these chips are “tits mint”.

We played 4 handed for about 2.5 hours. Everyone was pooped out and yawning a bunch. Kind of a boring game. I left up 1 buy-in after Patrick dumped most his chips.

Even if it was only 4 handed, it’s so cool that you do this on such a regular basis. Has to gratifying knowing that your doing something good. Not quite as good as Tommy’s wife and daughter. Those of you who’ve seen Landman know what I’m talking about!

Nancy is back from vacation and Tyrone found his way down.

Running the SJF reds for our nickel made for some beautiful splashed pots! Everyone loves the heritage inns with the bright 50 cent frac.

I flopped the jam in this hand of Omaha.

We had an impromptu Wednesday night game. I was outta town all weekend and couldn’t make the Friday game. Luckily or unluckily, Friday night Oakmont lost power. So we wouldn’t have played regardless.

Scooped this hand of Omaha.

I love your good humor and that you keep happily volunteering. I'm glad that after being 3 handed for a while the game seems to be growing again. I'm sure it means the world to them, especially Sue and Ed.

Question for you: What's the biggest challenge that you have continually faced through the years?
Mentioned that a couple people were upset and left the game at different points. I thought they would be more appreciative of you spending your free time with them, and donating your chips, cards, table, and effort... I know I would be if I was there.

At first it was to not forgetting that have poker to go to.

Then the issue was hauling table in and out each trip. Or forgetting the chips/cards.

Now I leave the table and usually remember everything. Dealing with the personalities would be the only issue. It’s kinda like dealing with kids sometimes.

Just a few weeks ago I had to get on Sur for ALWAYS riding Ed. Once in a while is ok but she would just be so mean. I told her to at least be friendly once in a while.

This is a hand of Ed’s favorite game 7 stud, low hole and all like are wild.

I thought I had the winner until Patrick showed us a Royal

Sue didn’t see the Royal and Patrick was more than happy to square her away.

I forget what went down here but we thru in all of Ed’s candy to “sweeten” the pot. Lol

Nice sized pot for this hand of Chicago, deuces wild. I got pocket Aces in the hole and started betting and raising. 4th street brought me trip Aces. Continue max betting. Running on a free roll I hit the flush on 7th street for the poker hand winner. Nice scoop for me!

Don’t remember the hand but another solid pot heading to my stack.

Every time I try to do the selfie pic Patrick is late to flip me off. He got me this time!

I’ll try and remember to rotate chips this week. My other sets are getting pissed.

Broke out the Diamond Casino boat chips this week. Boy did we have a banger!

We had 6 players for the entire game that ran from 7-11pm. Longest game we have ever played.

Nancy ran pure as the driven rain. Pretty sure she even took home some profit.

One of Ed’s curveball games, 7 stud, low hole and all like it wild. I made quad nines.

But my hand was beat by Nancie’s 4 Aces…

Scooped the hand in double board Omaha.

Tyrone wants to spice it up so he plays 5 card stud, deuces wild. I take it down with trip Queens.

Tyrone looked like he was gonna fall asleep.

I ask the table how long we are gonna be playing for and Ed says let’s play till midnight. Sue says why stop there?

I say that we’ll need some cocaine to keep the game going that long. Sue says that she’ll be late to the game if that’s the case. Tyrone eagerly says that he’ll be early. . I told him that it sounds like it’ll be me him and an ATM before long. He says “You’re driving.”

Ed had a proper stack this week. Glad he booked a win.

Chicago and both Sue and Ed had 2 queens up.

Chicago deuces wild. I start with A-KA with the second highest spade. 7th street I hit the Ace as if I needed it. Thought I had a scoo but Nancy strikes again with 4-of-a-kind.

Full table last week! My buddy wants Luke played for the second time. He knows hold em ok and learned the mixed games rules. He does stick around too long with straights and below in wild card games. One time he threw his hand down when his straight got beat by two other high ranking hands.

Ed got beat up pretty bad this week. He runs good shorthanded but seems to sputter at a full table. It gets loud and he can’t hear shit. Everyone’s chatting and 96 year old Ed just wants the cards in the air

Constantly reminding Nancy to cover her hand. Sue always says “I’m not cheating!”

I say “Sue if I can see the cards outta the corner of my eye so can you.”

She says she don’t look at her hand but what have we here Ms. Sue?

Booked a win again. I toss my trash hands when I the tables full. Usually I book a win.

We got blessed and got to play twice last week once on Tuesday and then our normal time on Friday. We had to skip last Friday due to a murder mystery that was hosted at Oakmont. Nobody found out who the murderer was and they all just went to bed. Each character had to read like a 20 minute long monologue. Sue texted me at 9:30 to see if I wanted to play,I’m like come on Sue….

Anyways, my pal, Hayden got to join us on the special event and I ask everyone to just act normal for the pics. So Hayden gets all dumb of course and I get half of my face in one of those photos where you’re thinking “why didn’t I crop myself out?”

Sue called seven card stud, low hole and all like it wild and casually gets a straight flush. Beat out Hayden who had a strong four of a kind.

I picked up a few early pots. Maybe it’s my lucky Chinese card protector thing.

Ty’s granddaughter made him the tie-dyed shirt he was wearing, but that didn’t stop us for making every Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Rastafari joke we could think of.

I asked if he wanted to go in the men’s room and hit my vape pen. He said back in the day that would’ve got you sliced up boy.

Not a bad hand of Omaha I smashed the flop with.

We all loads of fun and nobody got hurt. I can’t say the same for anybody’s feelings but hey, that’s Poker night with Pat. If nobody’s crying then nobody’s trying.

No, we played extra last week because Ed had to go in for bladder surgery this past Monday. I haven’t heard any bad news so I assume everything went well. Not sure if he’ll be up to playing tomorrow. We’ll see.

What stakes do you play? .05/.10? Thinking of bringing this to a local facility.

The buy is usually 10 to 20 bucks. We start the game with a nickel or a dime ante.

At the meet ups and most mixed games you would optimally play the same game per orbit. But they like to call the game on the button. Most of the games we play traditionally play with an ante so having different blinds is kinda mute.

And make sure when you have chips you get nickels quarters $.50 and a dollar. Something about these old cats, they just love to throw out a 50 Cent chip for the big bet.

Oh, and the betting is capped at three rounds so you can bet 50 Cent three times $1.50 per betting round.

There was no game two weeks ago. The wife and I drove to Grand Rapids to catch The Outsiders broadway play.

“Holy crap this was a splendid performance with fabulous choreography and seamless scene changes that happened during the dance sequences.”

This past weeks game was really fun and a full table! Everyone’s meds got delivered on time, (mine included) so we were all feeling really groovy.

The new player is my pal Trevor who was eager to learn some mixed games and catch up to speed on his hold-em chops. He enjoyed the game and made 2X his buy-in. He lives by me and will be joining my home game that will be starting up again real soon. (Hopefully)

Nancy stacking chips and ALWAYS makes a joke about being able to get herself food. Once she loses all the chips I ALWAYS make a joke about her starving to death.

New guy was smashing the shit out of boards left and right. Just during the first orbit he scooped 3 split pots. Dude could not miss.

Another scoop…

Ty starting to be like “Who TF is this guy and where can I get me some of them shades?”

Double board crazy pineapple. Betting round pre and throw one away on the flops.

Bottom board flop and turn brought four 4’s. We’ve never seen such a thing in all our years.

4-of-a-kind on the board made Tyrone lose his shit. Bro almost crashed out. Patrick asked him what his last name was but he didn’t hear and all he said is “I’m all in.“ so for the rest of the night we just called him, Ty Imallin. He never got the joke and busted out playing like a dumb dumb.

I asked if I could have his cool chest set when he dies. He didn’t answer.

Sue steady and profitable, as always. We had some good laughs this week especially when I told a story…about when, as a kid, I watched another kid fall off of the stairs on a slide landing flat on his back,while only wearing an oversized T-shirt.

The shirt fell up over his head and upper body as his wind was knocked out. All the kids just stood there looking at his naked, lower half while he writhed in pain.

This was my first time seeing a half naked kid at the park and also the first time I ever saw a ringworm on somebody.
