Collecting (ordering closed) Pledges for New Fournier-Made Desjgn Setups for Los Angeles / Orange County (LA/OC) Locals (5 Viewers)

I would like a set of orange and teal but I now live in Nevada
I think it might end up being a wash. A single setup is $19 plus direct shipping, which Kickstarter estimates at $8-9. If you join the GB, then the pricing should be ~$16, and the reshipping may be like $7-8 from CA to NV, so you could potentially save a buck or two.

I'll put you down anyway if you like. Bridge or poker?

I will go ahead and pledge for 50 setups now. If anyone else is interested, that's 5 spots/setups left. If we get no more takers, I'll keep or sell the additional setups.

I will not collect funds yet, because frankly I'm not sure the campaign will hit their goal. They are still $5,534 away from meeting the goal, so they'd need between 292-355 more setups pledged (depending on the tier pricing) between now and 8/15.

Our 50-setup pledge will reduce the # of setups needed to 251-305, or 17-21 setups per day on average every day for the rest of the campaign! So not sure it'll make it, but I'll keep an eye on the numbers, and if it does get close to the goal with a few days to go, I'll start collecting funds then...

5 of each bridge set up so 10 total
You're in! I had to adjust some numbers on the back end, but we are now at the 50-setup cap! The above table (and the OP) have been updated with the final numbers.

(If the campaign meets the goal, I will ask Desjgn if we can add on more at the discounted price from our 50-setup pledge...)

Well, the goal has been met, so my credit card should get charged at least $780 next Friday (seems like tax/shipping will be charged closer to actual fulfillment). I'll probably send out PMs next week to start collecting money. It should be $15.60 USD per setup.

I know @grandmeme wants to add 10 more setups. If @desjgn can create a 60-setup tier, and uses the same pricing formula, then it would reduce the cost by a dime per setup...

Does anyone else want to add on any more? No guarantees that we can add on (or if we can, that it would be at the same price point above), but I can ask!

late to the party. put me down for

So the campaign was fully funded momentarily yesterday, then pledges got reduced or cancelled so it was ~$600 short for the rest of the day, but it rallied overnight, and now we're over the goal again, by ~$400... Whee!

The requested add-ons by @grandmeme @darrnit and @mugenpowr would get us to 68 setups, and I can pick up 2 more, for an even 70 setups, but It does not look like Desjgn will add other pledge tiers (he explicitly said declined to make an 100-setup tier).

Applying the presumed formula he used to determine pricing for 30 and 50 setups--start w/$330 (20-setup pricing) and add $150 per 10-setup increment--a hypothetical 40-setup tier would be $630. Were that tier available, 70 setups would cost $1110 across two pledges ($480 for 30 + $630 for 40).

That is the same total as our 50-setup pledge @ $780 plus the 20-setup tier @ $330, or $1110. So I could have my wife sign up for a Kickstarter account and pledge as well to hit 70!

It does
increase our cost, from $15.60 to $15.86 per setup (before taxes and shipping). Would everyone be okay with a 26¢/setup (~1.7%) bump in cost? I wouldn't think it's a big deal for most folks here, but I don't want to assume...

I just increased my pledge, when will we get to choose bridge?

I just increased my pledge, when will we get to choose bridge?
Hey, you're not in this sub-GB! :ROFLMAO:

(I think once the campaign closes, Desjgn will process pledges through Kickstarter's Pledge Manager. He's said that's where you'd specify how many bridge or poker, and how many red/blue or orange/teal. So probably not until the end of next week or the beginning of the week after...)

Are we still doing the 30 setup add-on @TheOffalo? Happy to take more than 10 if it gets us over the line
It would be a 20-setup add-on unless you and others want to add on another combined 10. I'll be posted an updated 70-setup (50-setup + 20-setup) pledge table shortly.

Below is the combined 70-setup breakdown. I am pledging for 50-setups as originally planned, and my wife's Kickstarter account will pledge for 20 setups. The average price before any shipping/tax/etc. is $15.86/setup.

A few things: First, if you want to change any of your selections but not your overall quantities, between bridge/poker between red/blue and orange/teal, please comment below.

Also, if you want to change your numbers, please let me know ASAP. Hopefully everyone can stay committed to the #s they've previously indicated. However, if anyone wants more setups, that would help reduce our average per-setup cost, but only if we hit additional 10-setup increments combined. So express your interest for additional setups, but no guarantees that we can accommdate unless we reach the next tier.

And I just noticed that at there are two 50-setup tiers, one that includes the uncut sheet for the same $780 price, though the estimated shipping cost goes up from $39-$43 to $51-$58. So if anyone in the GB wants an uncut sheet to decorate their poker room, I am glad to modify my pledge to include that without additional cost for the sheet itself, but you'd be solely responsible for the increased shipping cost. (The sheet will ship separately from the setups.)

If multiple people want the free uncut sheet, then priority goes to whoever is buying more setups. If there's a tie or if more than one person really want an uncut sheet, I could add an uncut sheet to the 20-setup pledge for an additional $30 (plus the increase shipping cost), and we can average the cost of the two sheets to $15/sheet. (Hopefully not more than 2 people want uncut sheets...)

Please confirm your numbers and choices of size and colors and let me know about any potential changes!

Any takers for the "free" uncut sheet? It's included in the alternate 50-setup pledge reward tier, but any additional shipping cost (~$15) is the sole responsibility of whoever wants the sheet.

I'd need to change my pledge by this Friday 3pm Pacific time, so let me know sooner rather than later if you want the uncut sheet.

I think we have a little more time to finalize the bridge vs. poker, red/blue vs. orange/teal, numbers, but I'd like to have those figures ready as well before the weekend is over. If I don't hear otherwise, I'll go with what people requested in-thread, which is reflected in the table above.

can we still pledge? if so, I'm in for 2 of each bridge red/blue and orange/teal

Bridge Red/Blue: 2
Bridge Orange/Teal: 2

I can add-on but only if we can get to the next increment of 10 setups. So to add your 4 on, we'd need people, either new or already in this GB, to commit to 6 more setups.

(Or if people already in the GB are willing to reduce their numbers to accommdate the 4 setups you're requesting.)

I'll take the uncut sheet if there are no takers.

It's yours. I'll change my pledge now to include the sheet and let you know when I find out how much the additional shipping is.

Actually, yes you can add on! I had to take 4 more setups to get to the last 10-setup increment, but I don't need 5 setups of each. So you're in @quintooo!

I’m sorry I’m so late to this. Can I still get involved?

I don’t need an uncut sheet, I already framed one last year. Fantastic results!

I’m not sure what is needed, but I’ll buy lots of cards. I’d take 3 setups each, of whatever is created. USA shipping
