We had a discussion a few weeks ago about how he should really try to keep his stacks more organized. At first, he pushed back: "it doesn't really matter." So we started talking about a couple reasons why neat stacks are better, such as knowing how much you have, and having more room to handle cards, shuffle, deal, etc. Then he started realizing some other benefits on his own, such as being respectful to adjacent players, and just looking like you know what you're doing at the table.
