Hey guys, I previously made a very similar post but for custom chips. In that post I found out that Tina is the current best balance for inexpensive custom chips that are good quality (obviously subjective, but good as in fully custom and quality wise ‘good’ as compared to dice/slugs etc)

I’ve now been looking to design my own plaques and I have the same question: Where should I have them made? Looking for good value, ie not too expensive but also a good product.

Things to consider:
- only buying a small quantity, likely 20-30, so economies of scale can’t help me
- I currently have some custom BR Pro plaques that I like, but, I do like those fancier, foil-y and shiny plaques with the indents on the edges, looks like Tina makes those as well
- I’m in Canada, so cost of shipping and the cost of the dollar seems to hurt a lot as most of places I find service the US

When trying to estimate costs it looks like both BR Pro or Tina will cost me around $5 USD/each plus shipping? I haven’t estimated shipping yet but it’s feels like Tina will be more expensive and take longer.

Here are some drawings of what I was thinking:

Those with any experience, any thoughts on the above questions and on the designs themselves? Would the designs lend themselves better to BR Pro or Tina or either of them?

Thanks!

Justin is having a group buy for Tina plaques, but I think the minimum is 100 per design or else there's a $50 upcharge. I think there's an upcharge even if you go straight to Tina, too.

He also has pre-made cash game plaques, but it's sounding like you want the higher-value plaques for tournaments. From what you're saying, it's sounding like BR Pro may be your best route,

At any rate, you can find the thread over here.

Another route is via thepokerstore.com. They have generic plaques (which look like are made by Tina) that might fit your needs, and their prices really aren't all that bad.

Thanks Labrat!

And yes, looking back on my post I should have asked more for peoples preferences. I think Tina’s will be more expensive overall and take a while longer to receive them, but they seem better.

Does anyone have a preference on Tina (or MSK type plaques) vs BR Pro plaques?

I’m kind of wondering if my designs will work well on the foil type plaque, but also, is it worth it overall to wait months vs a few weeks and possibly pay more as well.

I think I’m answering my own question haha, but it is nice to hear what people think of different plaques. I’m talking, looks, feel etc
