Pharaoh Poker Tables? (1 Viewer)

I have been looking at having a poker table made for our main dining room, and have finally convinced my wife that it would be a good idea. :) The only catch is that it has to have a dining top on it so that it can be used as a traditional dining table for the 95% of the time it's not being used for cards. We have a very modern style decor in our house so it has been difficult finding something to fit the bill. Then I ran across a PCF thread where someone had mentioned Pharaoh Gaming Tables (www.pharaohusa.com) out of Glendale, CA. So I started looking on their site and they have some BEAUTIFUL tables, most of them fully custom. I called them and am leaning towards having them design and build a table for me. However, I am in Florida and I can't touch and feel their products. And, with such a large investment, I am trying to see if anyone has had experience with, or owns, a Pharaoh table? Is the quality as good in person as it seems to be in the Client Photo Gallery on their site? Any insight into Pharaoh would be greatly appreciated.

Also, a few questions as to form over functionality in a build:
1- Racetrack or no racetrack?
2- Raised rail or no raise rail?
3- If you own a Pharaoh, how is the felt?
4- Is a dealer position necessary if I only do home games with a group of friends?
5- Cup holders in rail a good option, vs. no cup holders in table?

Here are my personally opinions and experience with my builds.

I was in Las Vegas for a bachelor party in January 2020 and flew in a day early to drive to Glendale to build my tables. The place is top notch and are super helpful with everything down to the minute details.

I decided to have both a round and oval built with matching tops. The tops are high quality but not crazy heavy. I am able to take the oval top on and off with just myself. The round is too awkward and I need an assistant.

No racetrack - I found it does not look as seamless, along with I felt that the chips would eventually scratch the hell out of the racetrack. I also do not like how cards slide over the felt and onto the race track. Very awkward to me.

Yes to raised rail ( standard is 3/4”). I wasn’t planning on having a raised rail. I wasn’t familiar with this feature and never saw one. After comparing the normal rail vs. the raised rail in Pharaoh ‘s showroom, the raised rail is hands down superior. Absolutely gorgeous looking.

The felt is absolutely top notch. They will do anything you want, if you have a design idea in mind. My round table felt is technically completely custom. This was done to match the oval table exactly.

I do not recommend a dealer position, unless you own a casino. I feel it’s completely unnecessary.

I chose to have the cup holders installed into the rail. I toyed with the idea of no cup holders, but I felt that drink carts would clutter up my space, plus the cup holders are quite deep. A 10oz or 14oz rocks glass have really no risk of spilling since they sit very low in the cup holder. If you so chose, having the cup holders give you more flexibility and you can decide whether you want your players using them or not.

Ugh! I have had a very bad experience with them recently … busy weekend, but hopefully will get a chance to do a quick write up on it.

That’s exactly the feedback I was looking for. I really appreciate the insight into Pharaoh. It must have been your post that I had seen, bc I recognize your tables. I’m going to message you separately if ok?

This I agree with. In a casino situation, or maybe if you're going to have a dealer tray in your table, I get the function. looking at Gorilla Gaming and Pharaoh tables with it, for me, it even takes away from the look somewhat in a home. But to each their own. You gotta be happy with it.
