Paulson might not want to risk the integrity of their chips for casino useI work in the manufacturing/wholesale distribution market for a non chip related industry. What I can say is money and volume is everything. When people call up wanting to place a “big” order, the small time guys have no idea what a big order really is and tell me that they want to spend $10,000 with me or order 100 pieces of something. I usually laugh at them, insult them, and then hang up on them. Ok, I do it a little nicer than that, but that’s essentially what happens.
How this relates to Paulson is what someone needs to know is what size chip order will get their attention, and does the entity placing the order have the funds to follow through? I would bet they could rationalize themselves into taking an order if it made financial sense to them. To me, that would be the easy part. Coming up with the money is a whole different story.
