I have rack and barrel quantities of real casino used clay solids in a variety of colours! Buy them in any mix of quantities, colours, and conditions as long as you meet the 100 chip minimum. Put together a tourney set for 1 or more tables, a small cash set, a multi-player roulette set, or even use at tokens/markers for your table top games! Flexible combinations, subject only to remaining inventory.

The basic description of the chips:
  • They are all genuine Paulson clay chips on the THC mold, originally made/used in the 1980’s
  • All named colours have been compared as best I can to a Paulson colour sample set
  • All are former roulette chips from the Club Cal-Neva casino in Reno, Nevada (still in operation!)
  • Chips have been sorted/priced in three conditions: Fair, Good, and Excellent
  • Regardless of condition ranking, there are very few flea bites among these chips
  • All have been ultrasonic cleaned
  • Suitable for milling to take an after-market sticker for those who like customization

An explanation of criteria for condition rating (“rack” refers to a standard Paulson 24010 rack):
  • FAIR chips have mostly worn hot stamps, will not stand on edge, and can fit 21 per barrel in a rack
  • GOOD chips have mostly readable hot stamps, will probably stand on edge, and can only fit 20 per barrel in a rack
  • EXCELLENT chips are, well, excellent! Pristine hot stamps, very sharp edges, fits very snugly in a rack

Not sure if this helps the debate at all, but I plan to sequester some relatively good condition solid Whites to make faux quarters for my Grouse Mountains set, based on this image from chipguide that used it for the Cavanaugh's Motor Inn (likely owned and operated by the same people as Grouse Mountain Lodge, as they used identical base chip colours and almost identical inlays). Will likely do regular round label.

The 0.50 was a Showboat Grey, the $1 is Forest Green, and the $5 is Maroon, all solid.

Bump!

6-person tourney starter sets still available - combine with @Kid_Eastwood 's public domain tribute design for printed labels and you'll have a very nice gift for yourself or another budding poker enthusiast!

Also have quantities of chips that can be put together for a nice Vegas cash set, too!

Only other solids I'm after are 100 minty blacks and 30 minty canary yellows

Not really, but would add on if they were mint and the price was right. I tried to pick up a couple barrels yesterday, but I mis-read the thread that they were part of a set being sold. Definitively not a priority as I have enough, just need to upgrade some.

I figured, thought maybe since you have been after roulettes you may have ended up with some GV's in some lots purchased. Do you ever come across large lots of BJ roulettes (one with flutes & labels)?

Not yet but I know the ones you are looking for. With the white rectangular pip. If I ever come across any I will ping you, for sure.

OK. I'm pulling the trigger. I would like the following lots (assuming still available.) Cleaning out your remaining Fair & Excellent chips.

885 - FAIR CONDITION CHIPS: Blaze Orange (100), Chocolate (146), Colon Orange (114), Day Green (299), Orange (NONE), Plum (NONE), Purple (52), Showboat Grey (127), White (NONE), Yellow (47)
92 - GOOD CONDITION CHIPS: Grey (92)
101 - EXCELLENT CONDITION CHIPS: Day Green (60), Gold (7), Grey (20)*, Peach (14),

By my math, the total (before shipping) is. Let me know the damage for shipping.

I'll take the 20 Excellent condition "Grey" if still available.
* @Denali, I noted your interest in the 20 gray chips above, I may end up keeping the 20 gray (I'd like to see how they look next to a handful of other excellent gray chips I have and if they're the same shade gray). If I don't end up keeping them, I'd sell & ship to you, if you still want them in a couple weeks after I get them.

Sounds good - keep me posted!

Well, Aaron, what can I say! Give me just a little time to confirm all counts of the chips by PM, and I'll get a shipping quote for you as well. I don't expect the counts of the chips to be off more than a few chips either way, but while I have the time we may as well shoot for accuracy.

Take all the time you need.

I've got a random assortment of other solids in various quantities and varying condition (fair to excellent) that I'm probably pairing these with, so even if the counts are off a little, that won't really matter to me.

I actually bought a bunch of these same Cal Neva Roulettes in casino well-used, dirty condition off ebay months ago, before your first ad, I think, but I only have blaze orange, yellow, and chocolate colors. (Side note, I think there were a few Daisy color in among the yellow, but they're hard to tell apart).

One thought I have for the well used chips is to create a solid color Mapes tribute set, with Yellow $1s, Blaze Orange $5s, maybe Chocoloate fracs, and now with a Day Green $25. (I would prefer an Indian Blue or Ocean Green for the 25, to be closer to the teal Mapes 25 color, if I can ever find those in slighty more used condition to match.)
