Most people prefer the primary and there are less of them around.

never understood why the primary are valued higher than the secondary. I guess demand is the key. I like secondary better ;) glws

*Recent* supply and demand. The original source of these chips offered up numerous racks of secondary $25s on eBay about a year ago, so the market was flooded with them for a while. I guess he sold more of the primary chips earlier on. Both versions are great, I prefer the primary as a stand alone chip or as the high end of the cash chips but I think the secondaries go better with the rest of the set, especially the higher denoms.

GLWS!

I love the yellow spots but prefer the secondary hundo. According to this thread, all of the quantities were the same.

yep, initial quantities "were" the same.. but it is usually more difficult to find Primary vs Secondary for $25s and $100s...
In general, I prefer primaries to secondaries for all PNYs, though the $500s are basically a tie.
The secondary $1k is a great chip... the Primary $1k is phenomenal..

Guess it's all about how your personal popper works. My PP likes the purple spots more than the yellow.
Plus, green and purpls are the Wimbledon colors...

Both great chips.. if you want something that pops more color wise, it's the primaries.. If you are looking for a Christmas Tree ornament, the secondaries have it locked down...

Thanks.
I find that PNYs are a great pri/sec mix and match set.. you can really swap out any denom for secondary or primary and they still all work... (obviously just my opinion)

Yes very much agreed.... to the point where I've been trying to convince myself today that I don't need another rack (or 3) of the primaries so I can intermittently swap the 25s in my tourney set on any given game night, lol.

You might be able to convince yourself that you don't need them, but you may never convince yourself that you don't "want" them ;)

I have 3 racks of each and rotate. Waiting for a rack of $500s and $1Ks to fall from the sky right into my birdcage :D

Look what the mailman dropped off today...

Thanks @softchewy for completing my set. And give me a holler if you ever decide to part with the rest of your PNY treasure. I could talk myself into some plaques/buttons/$1000s haha.
