After putting together a killer limit set with $1s and $20s I find myself unable to sell the leftovers. I just picked up a cheaper (but also awesome) limit set and so am letting go of these beauties. vMore pics will have to wait. As usual, happy to ship internationally and entertain a split if all chips are spoken for (and maybe not, see below).

This won't be a dibs sale as I may prioritize based on requested breakdown, splits, and my own inclination to hang onto a single-table set.

Meanwhile, here's what I'm talking about, Bud Jones V7s:

200 x 25c
800 x $1
800 x $5
100 x $20
10 x $100 (plus possibly another barrel)

Looking to sell at a loss: $4.50/chip, which amounts to a ton for the entire lot. More realistically, potential set options that I would sell without insisting on a complete split are:

Option A: 100/400/400/0-60/0-20
Option B: 0/200/400+/0-60/0-20

You get the gist, feel free to come up with your own breakdown and PM me. Just understand that I'm trying to not be left with a ton of $5s. Something like this ain't gonna fly: 100/200/200/100, etc.

What does it mean when these for sale posts dont have an asking price? I've seen a few lately and they seem to be the norm.
Is the expectation that if you're interested you negotiate the price via PM?
Or if you have to ask you cant afford it?
Thx

He said in the OP that pricing hasn't been figured out.

So message him with stupid pricing. Maybe 3 or 4 crispy $100 bills? :D

Not picking on @navels but I've been working on some changes to the Classified guidelines. Some have to do with what must be posted in a For Sale ad. Now that we have Auctions, the guidelines need updating. Price will definitely be a requirement moving forward.

ZJ? What’s a ZJ?
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.

I'm in favor of that!

Every chip in this set is perfect

Hmmm... One old fart's counter-opinion:

I share your opinion to a great extent -- this might be my favorite set of all my chips. But perfect? No.

The $100 may be my favorite chip of all-time. The $20 is outstanding. The $5 has sneaked up on me, and I love it. The quarter is nice -- if you need a quarter.

That leaves the $1, which I regard as by far the weakest chip in the set. Every time I see these chips next to my Empress Stars and their great $1, I think of what might have been ... :(

That said, I only have three racks of PS $1s, so if the set gets split, I could use one or two more. And maybe one rack of $5s. :cool

GL, Lee, however you proceed. These must be tough to part with.

Thanks! Funny that the $1s are my favorite.

What is the correlation, if any, between the Aurora star hot stamps and these Bud Jones Pacific stars? Is one a casino and the other a fantasy set? Just curious as I haven't seen any others on the classifieds. Beautiful set btw and GLWS!

All fantasy to my knowledge, including Empress Star.

Only real relation is the Dealer Button common to all sets.

EDIT : some db pr0n

have a huge PS set already.

And the dang COVID ruined my chances to see these beauties for myself. Will have to keep this meeting on the horizon for another time! Still looking forward to it Han.

Can't wait for things to get somewhat normal someday!
