I just recently received a sample set of Jacks Poker's The Diamond chips: https://www.jackspoker.com.au/the-diamond-full-range

These are very affordable plastic, metal slug chips, but to my surprise the finish is super smooth and IMO they feel great to handle. The colors pop and clocking in at 14g they have a hefty feel to them. I actually like them so much that I consider getting a custom set of them.

After some searching, I think I found the supplier here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32891719980.html
The brand is Goodeasy, which seems like a China-based company who says they are "[...] able to produce the custom products after clients designs.".

My question is: Have people ordered from Goodeasy before? If so, good experiences? Have someone maybe bough these exact chips before?

Thanks for any answers!

Welcome! Lots of China based companies. For that price, you can get a fully custom chip on here. Personally I wouldnt pay that much for a generic plastic chip. Search Tina on here, tons of designs for chips in that price range.

How many chips do you need? At bulk you can get fully custom BRPro chips for $0.75-$0.90 each. I would get samples though to see if you like the feel.

Weight is no indicator of quality. Casinos most often use chips of around 10g as a "standard" for the past 3 decades (and many cases much longer), so 14g chips are unnecessarily clunky.

Even true high end slugged plastic chips (yes, they exist) top out in the 10-11.5g range, except for Bourgogne et Grasset.

Thanks for the advice everyone, but I might've expressed myself badly. I am not really asking for advice on which chips to buy here.

I am aware that both BRPro and Tina ceramics, while still being affordable, are considered higher quality chips than mostly any run-of-the-mill metal slug chip, but as I said, I surprisingly really liked the "The Diamond" chips mentioned above, and so I consider getting a custom set of them.

As you can see on the above image, I got both BRPro ceramics and Tina ceramics lying around, and I agree that those are great chips. I might even end up going for one of those. For this post though, my interest is in the company called Goodeasy, just so I can mark that as a valid option or not.

Thanks again :)

Oh definitely, it was more of an argument to why I liked them personally.

Thanks for mentioning the Bourgogne et Grasset chips though, that sent me down a small rabbit hole! :D Wasn't aware that there was a European chip equivalent the BJ injection mold chip!

Bourgogne et Grasset is under the umbrella of GPI, which is now owned by Angel Holdings of Japan. Paulson and Bud Jones is under this umbrella, too, as well as the assets of many other gaming suppliers.

Is the .42 cents in US dollars, or, Australian? Most folks on here are not fans of slugged chips that weigh 14g. There are many other options available if the price is .42 US. Check the classifieds here, get samples... I'll say it again, get samples. Chips like these are often very slick and don't handle well.

Good luck.

I doubt anyone has ordered from that specific Chinese company before. Most of them have come through Tina or Anita‘s companies which aren’t goodeasy.

You will probably be pretty safe ordering through Alibaba, but I think the problem you’re going to face is what they’re going to charge you to do a custom set up. It will likely be quite a bit higher price than the price per chip for their standard production chips. Also, I found their stated prices often are different than their quoted prices. Then you have to worry about the shipping charges.

Just ask them for a custom quote with shipping and see what they have to say. There’s no harm in doing it.

A few questions:

Have you actually weighed the Diamond chips, or are you basing their 14g weight on the ad claims of Jack's Poker?

Do the chips exhibit a metal clanking sound found in metal slugged chips?

Are the center areas of the Diamond chips printed directly onto the base material (like the Empire chips), or are they printed labels applied into a recess in the base material (like the Pharaoh chips)?

This.

Tina has that exact same diamond mold.

Yeah, totally forgot about those threads from 2022. Thanks for the reminder.

Best of luck to @glooid with direct-ordering from goodeasy. The slugged diamond mold solid-color plastic chips are worth about 20c-25c each.

Anybody charging twice that much is almost certainly a reseller, and not the actual manufacturer.

Thanks for actually answering my question! That is some good insight:tup:

Tina has that exact same diamond mold.
The chips got stuck to my magnetic phone charger, so I didn't need to do much investigation to figure out they were slugged ;)

Also, Tina's mold is actually not identical; Tina's diamond has a different pattern on the crown of the diamond

The chips are being sold for 38 EUR per 150 chips, so roughly 0.25 EUR per chip. Higher for custom designs ofc.
