Opinion on $1 in this lineup (25 Viewers)

Greetings,
Looking for some opinion on then lineup. I like it but I’m not crazy about the $1 chip. Thinking of a brighter white or even using a black chip for the $1. Thoughts?

4v418 Jerry’s Nugget might be a good option although it won’t be minty sharp but possibly close in condition to your IG $5. Otherwise there are other large inlay 418 (Venetian, Four Queens) or 214/212 (Hacienda, Opera House) options - all white base.

Love those $1s, but I don't see how they go with the other chips at all.

Obviously no giant inlay, but even the spots, they are huge compared to the others and the other inlays are dark. Seems like a giant inlay with 1/16" spots should be something that you should look at.

The one is definitely put of place. A one dollar chip with a large inlay would be preferred.

I think you kinda knew the answer to your question. If you can find them in good shape, some $1 chips that come to mind are outpost, Silver Legacy, Venetian blue man group and older giant inlay (I had some before and didn’t care for the non-BMG’s), Vineyards (lol), Fiesta Rancho and Ameristar Chicago. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Fiestas floating around the forums and I believe Ameristar is still open. GLWS(earch).

True, but my 2 cents, Harrahs are out unless you’re going to go all Harrahs. Doesn’t make since for 50% of the lineup to be one “brand” in a mixed set. Same for PNY’s. I like the Hard Rock Seminoles. My OCD says don’t repeat brand or location.

Also take a look at Windcreek Chicago Southland. They opened last fall so maybe the $1s are still in decent shape.
