Hey all, have been lurking a little bit around here but just created an account in hopes to get some feedback on what I was thinking.

I was thinking about purchasing a One2Six MFS machine to shuffle the cards rather than a MD1 or 2, just because I also like to host blackjack nights time to time and just seems more of a versatile option in my opinion.

I found one for $3,500 USD, is that a bit expensive, average..? I would like to buy an OTS version but all the ones I see for sale are 8k+

Has anyone used a One2Six purely for single deck games? How does it compare to a deckmate or something comparable - single deck shuffler (not the shuffle tech shufflers).

Thanks!

So a one2six I wouldnt use more than just for blackjack. There is a way use a different tray which I dont have access to but it will spit all the cards out for a 1 deck shuffle but it's not as fast as like an Ideal shuffler(which is a great shuffler for multiple games like pai gao, Ultimate texas holdem, three card poker and all the other carnival games on top of one deck blackjack They run about 2500 ish.

I wouldn't pay more than 2500 for a one2six. I one for myself that I may look to sell as I only have it to be a collector. I really like using a shoe.
If your friends card count then I would possibly get the one2six then. @Carnth has a lot of experience with one more than me so I'm sure he could fill you in on more insight.

I believe the MD series are 2-8 deck and if you go thst route i would always go for the md3 over the md2. However the md2 is like half the price of the md3. I do have MD3s for sale for $5100 shipped.

If you are trying to save money my friend alec honehis md2 for sale that I'm in possession of and will be working on it for a little bit.

Then here is some videos of the one2six

Ideal shuffler

My personal Md3

If you are in no rush just left me know what you need and I can get you any shuffler cheaper than you see online. I do this as a hobby I like fixing shufflers. There are some rare unicorn moments where great deals pop up on eBay but it's from people who resell lost freight/storage hunters stuff as their main buisness not shufflers.

@b58 no more lurking you need to hit the minimum post before private messaging or join pcf supporter. So introduction in the new members section is a good place to start!

Hello and welcome to PCF.
I have the following shufflers and can offer you (or anyone else) advice on any of them.

iDeal
MD2
One2Six OTS
DM2

Since you're asking about the One2Six OTS, I'll talk about that.

ShuffleMaster wanted to make a more versatile shuffler so they came up with the One2Six... So named because it can hold one to six decks of cards.
The cards are shuffled in a carousel (see YouTube videos from @minedelta above) and then they are output into a mini blackjack shoe where they can be dealt.

The mini blackjack shoe output can be swapped out for a card tray (sold separately), so the One2Six can be used for single deck poker type games like 3 card, let it ride, pai gow, etc.
Changing the output from the shoe to the card tray is an involved process requiring a screwdriver and detaching/reattaching wires. It's not necessarily difficult, but it's not fast either.
This onerous process of changing the output is the biggest drawback of the One2Six. This is why most casinos just used it as a six deck continuous shuffle machine for blackjack--which it excels at. It is REALLY good for dealing blackjack.
Unfortunately, the One2Six just isn't made to easily change from multi deck blackjack to single deck table games.

If you want to deal single deck poker games, especially casino table poker games like 3 card, pai gow, then the iDeal is what you're looking for.
The iDeal can also be used to shuffle for an actual poker table as well. Though it is a bit bulky, I used it for my poker table until I got my DM2.
To this day, I still use my iDeal for pai gow, and other table games when my group wants to play something different.

If you want to know more or have any questions, please ask! I like to share my shuffler experiences.
