Well, it does have the 1/4 pie thing going for it. Not as ugly as a Southpont $1.
But, those of you rating the "Dirty Diaper" :2d::3s: higher than a 4 #Shiver. Eew.

It’s a funny thing. For me the spot pattern often matters more than the spot colors. I’d take that faux quarterpie pattern in any crappy colors over a 2V or a 418 with the hottest colors.

Well with 450 quarters available I guess I'm not going to build my first paulson cash set :/

What are the odds of full tournament sets being sold of these, with those primary 1k chips?
If you like the $1/5/25/100 just try to get what you need. Then find another chip to murder and make into a quarter. Fracs in all these sales are always very short in supply, and usually quite expensive. It's easy to find another chip that's less expensive to convert into a frac.

Full Paulson sets including fracs aren’t very common. I’ve always been comfortable using a starburst as a frack. Since these are on the RHC mold, maybe you’d want to find some RGC roulettes or other non-denominated chips to use as quarters. Maybe he has some roulettes from this casino that would work nicely. When it’s just the ante or blind chip, I don’t really worry about it having a denomination.

As to the tournament set with $1k chips question, the odds of that are decent. Sometimes he sells his chips all a la carte (with limitations and restrictions) and sometimes he sells them as pre-built tournament sets (which have in the past included the big chips at decent prices.). So you just have to wait and see. I bet we’ll find out within a few days. Though, for Black Friday sales he sometimes likes to have last minute surprises too.

Well said.

I would take 20 racks of the quarters if they were reasonable, but because they won't be, I'll most likely pass.

It is just so much easier/less expensive to find another option and re-label them.

Good point about using the roulettes as fracs too. I don't think Jim has posted any pics of them, but there were pics of a yellow one and another that was maybe peach or salmon from the Chip Guide. Either would work well.

Pics in this post.

Right? I mean there are lots of options. But if somebody thinks they’ll wait for a set with actual Paulson fracs, they could be in for a long wait or an expensive purchase. If somebody’s new to the hobby and they can get a set of the next week (assuming typical chip room prices) they should grab them. It’s like a bird in the hand.

I assume that goes for higher denominations too? I didn't see anything higher than 1k. I guess it's T1, T5, or bust if I'm trying to build a full set without substitutions?

Don't worry about getting the quarters. Those will be gone the first second of the sale.

If your building a micro stakes cash set focus on the $1's, $5's and $25's and find a chip outside of this sale to do label removal (ie chip murder). If your not familiar with label removal here is a thread that helped me.

I hope @upNdown is right on a Black Friday surprise with already built tournament sets and extra goodies.

Jumers seem to be a small casino room when I research them online so $1000 might be their biggest denomination.

Will not be surprise if there is some $5000 but likely be priced high in the $15 +- range

T5 is doable with just $5 to $500 denomination if you dont want to do any relabeling

10/10/7/2 $5/$25/$100/$500 is just a nice starting stack for $2000 T5

Add in 30 x $100 for coloring up and 40 x $500 for rebuy

You can get a STT set with just 360 chips

Choco-Naners for the win. "Let me get two barrels of choco-naners!"
I hated those chips the first time I saw them. Now they are starting to grow on me, and I suspect by the time of the sale I will HAVE to have a rack or two... Yes, the degen is real.
