Concurrently with the old-school Flamingo design I recently posted, I was also working on another casino tribute. I kind of had in my mind that long discussion @aggie started about whether cards mold replica sets had gone "too far", and I was thinking about a less-used mold that Tina (and other ceramic chip makers) offers, the diamond(s) mold--not to be confused with molds that have the diamond suit on them. Here's an example from @SeanGecko, the King:

This mold isn't very popular, and apparently has an upcharge per @justincarothers, so it's not used/offered much. It does give the chips a specific aesthetic compared to cards mold, so I decided to lean into it and design something that connects directly with the mold. I was already working on the old-school Aladdin design when I came up with a way to link it to this mold.

The Aladdin animated movie from the 90s referred to the protagonist as the "diamond in the rough" so, while the rest of the design is fairly faithful to the original, instead of "Las Vegas, Nev.", I added that descriptor as the "tag" at the bottom, so it is clear that it's a tribute and not just a replica. As with the Flamingo design, I identified inspiration chips, but unlike the Flamingo I stuck mostly with Aladdin's in-house designs rather than picking chips from a range of casinos.

Without further ado, here's my old-school Aladdin tribute, designed to go on diamond mold ceramic chips:

I made both a $20 and a $25 so that people who prefer one or the other can have a choice. The text/denom colors alternate between denoms, except for the $20 and $25 because you wouldn't have both in play. That way someone could have a cash set consisting of .25/1/5/20/100 and a "tournament" set consisting of 25/100/500/1000/5000 and still have the alternating designs. I have no plans on making a proper tournament set in this design.

Constructive feedback welcome, though the design is fairly finalized at this point. As mentioned, diamond mold apparently has an upcharge unless a certain quantity is reached. I'm not sure if/when a group buy will offer it as a mold option but I'll make this design available for purchase in that scenario.

Might want to consider an alternate $100 cash chip so you can truly have distinct cash and tourney sets.

Using this as inspiration...

Just any base color other than black. Just a thought.
