I usually write like one sentence, but for you.
@MrCatPants was grinding the tourney, playing sound. Playing well. He was locked in, having around second highest chip stack when the final table combined. Nothing was going to bring him down, especially while he was riding a head-high as the result of a poker player he aspires to be complimenting him in that he "respected him as a poker player", albeit in a drunken stupor. He blinks. Next thing he knows, he's lost a tough hand to the defending 2025 Heritage Club Champion. He blinks again, his stack now in the bottom three at the table. Whatever. Variance is a bitch and it's nothing a good player can't overcome. Then it happens. Action folds to him. He peels his cards and spots a beautiful AJo in the cutoff. It's time to make the move and take those juicy blinds. "All In", as he calmly tosses in the chip matching those very words. BTN fold. SB fold. BB peels his hand and gives out a small chuckle. It's the player that complimented CatPants in a drunken stupor. BB doesn't remember, but he 'respects his opponents game'.... or does he?

20 seconds since action. It's not an insignificant stack for BB to call, despite being the chip leader. 40 seconds since action. The small chuckle becomes a hearty laugh, a villain laugh. 60 seconds. This Finn can tank. "I would heff to suck out on you but I want to call, how much?" Before CatPants can answer, villain takes a finger and pokes at the highest denom chip that is in it's respective stack. 70 seconds. It's only two chips tall, yet its toppling is of the upmost hilarity to the villain. His laugh turns from villain to maniacal. 90 seconds. He can barely form a sentence. Is it time to show the respect he forgot he had proclaimed to his good friend? 110 seconds. "I call." CatPants insta-flips over his hand. 112 seconds. Villain is somehow more red than fsupolo from laughing. He flips over Q2o. "Oh god". CatPants can feel the tournament starting to truly embody a tournament, while staring back at his AJo. UTG proclaims, "Q2 is totally going to win". 130 seconds. Flop comes. Trash, trash, trash. Yet, a 2 is trash. And it's there. The table is roaring in laughter. All except one man, who shouts in a whisper, "I fucking hate poker". No one remembers the air on the turn and river, yet air it was. The laughing continues. "You guys fucking deal." Hero exits the room. One asshole chimes in, "where's that supposed respect?". Hero doesn't hear it, he's already headed home. "Home" meaning the cash game. "Real poker." Villain may have taken down the tourney, but it wasn't what kept the hero up over night. It was that laugh. Unrelenting, unfeeling. Every time he closed his eyes, he could hear it. Feel it. "Maybe if I crap on Rieguy I'll feel better", he thinks to himself. He logs onto PCF...

(this post is inaccurate and the result of ~2hrs of sleep)

Really love the bear claws as the $25s. I loved the Tiger Canary NCV as $5s but I just feel like bear claws should be reserved as a higher denomination chip! Gotta work for it (or rebuy for it)

.50/1 NLHE/Omaha/O8/Pineapple dealers choice. We have played $1/$1 but a couple of our guys get too big of a kick betting with a frac on top. When I took quarters out of my sets there was almost a riot.
 
This time I decided to just spend money for the joy of hosting old friends, including my best man and my godson, for a friendly 25/50c game.
Two orbits of TXNLHE, followed by one orbit of you-name-it degenaration, including Split-Pot PLO, plus an extra orbit of Pot Limit 6-card Stud.

I paid for both the dedicated dealer and the food. For me, hosting is about spending money for people I like.

In Greek Orthodox culture, the God-parent, upon baptism, anoints the god-child with a touch of olive oil.
It seems I 've spent too much olive oil on my godson (a 19-year old University Student by now), 'cause he screwd the hell out of our anuses, in the presence of his dad (my best man). :)

In play, the Aegean Phare set, on the Medium Greek Mold, inspired by the breath-taking lighthouse on Cape Aspropounta, on the magical island of Folegandros.
