Official Home Game Pics Thread! (193 Viewers)

No action shots, but final cash out from Friday. I haven't put the Sun-Fly hybrids in play since April of 2024.

I love these Adolfo chips, not only bc they are gorgeous but they also remind me of my hometown Lemoore. Adolfo’s has a pool hall where my friends and I spent a lot of time in our early twenties.
Fun fact: there’s a life-size ceramic cow on the roof at Adolfo’s!
There is no “logo” for Adolfo’s, so what do you put on DBs, cut cards, felts?

The only idea so far is to use the life-size ceramic cow:

Going to have to get me some of those Crown Series cards, they look great and the back colours on the new ones are really pretty.

(don't know enough about them to know whether yours are the new ones ... or whether there are even 'old' ones anyway :))

Old fogey four-handed poker. Everyone in for $15 playing 5¢/10¢/25¢/50¢ Limit Hold 'em. The FOCs made for some colorful pots.

No serious shuffling skills here so the hand-crank shuffler was a huge hit!

4 and a half hours later; everyone out for $15, give or take :)

@Irish runs a fantastic game, very happy that I'm now in the area. Great games with great people, no complaints. Table is always friendly and there's a clear legacy.

Tournament
In for $50, punted this off slowly
In for another $50 after a few hours. Took some deep breaths!...and almost lost all of it again. Down to less than a small blind after my QQ got cracked by 96 flopped trips, I double/triple up a few times with luck on my side and end up getting 2nd place a few hours later with some bounties. Sometimes its better to be lucky! Dealer's Choice cash afterwards was fun as well and I made a few more bucks but no pics, I was tired.

Thematic chips in play. 43mm DDLM chips felt fantastic. Great to shuffle and bet. Personally don't love the artwork but the feel, the edge designs, stacking, all perfection.

We used the new Crown Series cards. I liked them alright. I don't love the pips or the texture and the shuffler had a little trouble, but they washed and pitched fine right out of the box. I dealt for a cash game following the tournament and had no issues. The 10s have a circular text on them which makes a busy card even busier. I wouldn't hate using them but they aren't my favorite, that's all.

This is a good start. Adolfo’s has Billiards; Bar; Liquor Store and it had Poker for many years.

I’ve attached a mural that was painted by a local artist to capture landmarks of Lemoore. Not a whole lot out there!

Are those chips stored... vertically? I am intrigued. Love the sign.
Not to go further off topic, but I’m never one to shut up.

It’s the original storage that was in Adolfo’s cardroom. Well technically it’s in the kitchen of his bar.

It needs refinished and potentially hung, but for now it just sits on the floor. Comfortably fits 4,800+ chips.

Sunday night NLHE in the garage

4 color copags and parks-n-rec chips looked good on the table. So did the door prize, courtesy of @TheOffalo!

Also, the DM1 made it through an entire session without causing issues. Hopefully I finally have my DM1 issues behind me (big thanks to @minedelta for all the support and advice).

Funny hand of the night happened early. Three players. All experienced players. Player 1 (short stacked) goes all in. Player 2 calls and flips over his cards, at which point player 3 says “thanks for sharing; I’m still in the hand”. 30 seconds of laughter. Then player 3 calls and flips over HIS cards, at which point we remind both players 2 and 3 there is a side pot between them. Another 30 seconds of laughter. Then (on flop or turn I can’t remember) player 3 bets but player 2 forgot player 3s hand and tanks. Seriously I can’t make this stuff up if I tried….

Anyways, taco bar ended up working well. Almost 100% advance prep and every time I filled the pot with more taco meat it was gone in 15 min. Little to no mess. Highly recommended.

Thanks for coming @Big Money @Vinyard @Monaco @sethwanab @Godzilla28 @TheRealTeddyKGB!

Sunday Night at @triton

THANKS for the tacos & for the record I wasn't involved in any part of the worst poker hand I've seen all year:

Bitcoin-denominated micro stakes night. $100 Bud Jones Coin-in-Center and the $1000 B&G Imperial Saipan. The 10x denomination jump worked surprisingly well.

100/200 equates to $0.11/0.22 with yellow chips being just over $1. We're a bunch of nerds from a local bitcoin meetup and have some convoluted but fun methods for moving small amounts of bitcoin around to cash in/out.

Everyone loved the brass IPS dealer button too. Cheap Amazon roll-out topper on a wood table made a world of difference too.

Those cut cards are sweet! Thanks for giving them away to the high hand which I held all night if I recall. First flush the full house, but who's keeping track????
Tacos were a hit!

Much to the amusement of my local poker group, I'm happy to report that after over 3 years I finally got my shit together enough to host my FIRST (and 2nd) poker game(s) in the past couple weeks. Both games were full with many good friends who blindly, "Followed the Fish" into my basement to put themselves at the mercy of the poker gods; Paris chips were the flavor of [both] days :)

It feels great to finally be able to take part in this thread and I definitely couldn't have done it without everyone here on PCF, so thanks PCF for helping make my poker dreams a reality! :)
