Good night, ended up with 7 players.

Started off with an awesome ComicCon gift from @Racer96 hand delivered by @TheOffalo and was the card capper for the night:

@TheOffalo hand delivered these IPS and complimentary FARO cut cards:

Used the Faded Spade FSX WPT deck for the first time, pit boss checked them over:

Pretty calm overall, although I lost the NIT game. Twice. Folk enjoyed the game and we kept it on most of the night (also had 7-2 on but no winners) Ran hot for the first hour or so then got outplayed/ card dead.

We did $5 double board bomb pots on monotone boards and there was more action in those bomb pots than an hour of NLHE.

@TheOffalo scooped the first big one:

Then last hand we finished with a double board bomb pot, ended up pretty much 3 way all in and a 2 way chop:

Thanks to @Aeternus @NVFlip and @TheOffalo as the guest of honor. GG.

I knew I should've folded my hand pre flop on that last bomb pot. lol Thanks for hosting @Kam It was a lot of fun. Looking forward to the next one and maybe mixed games in the future and possibly Chinese poker with other in the group. It was great to meet everyone and @TheOffalo. Thanks for bringing the capper.

Well you did try to bluff off the calling station and @Aeternus who thought he had the nuts on both boards. No judgement here, I torched $25 preflop with 7-2o into the same two ;)

I dont have quite enough VIP 1 $25s to pull this off but at $0.05/$0.10 is 90 red chips a person too much? When you ballers play $5/$10 do you usually get a rack of $5s?

Working with
560 $5s as $0.05
20 $25s as $0.25
40 $100s as $1.00
40 $500s as $5.00
20 $1,000s as $10.00

Total bank $473

Think I would need (80) more VIP 1 $25s and (40) more VIP 1 $100s to make this work.

A rack of reds used to be a standard for a 100 BB 2/5 buy in, back in the day at least...

5c/10c or $5/10...the $25 is gonna be the workhorse chip....I think you need way less $5s and way more $25s

$5 x 200 (100 is really enough)
$25 x 400 (Maybe even 600)
$100 x 80 (200 is better)
$500 x 20 (100 is better)

This is really what you need for 5/10 single tabel

Love those chips!

In-laws told me I didnt need to bring a poker set to the AirBnB because they already had one. OH GOODIE.

Post- wedding hangout. Every chip was the same, $5 dealers choice freezeout where if Frank won no one had to pay. That way everyone was happy when I won!

I’ve been there bud. Sometimes it’s better to just take the L and keep the peace. Then they will rib you for months after they take a $3 pot. “I thought you were some poker player. Psssssh.”

When I first met them they were brutal. Family game is 500 and they had all kinds of family-meta that I was a fool for not knowing. They've accepted me in to their tribe by this point.

Reminds me when my buddy invited me to a poker game. He was all excited talking about “well you said you like poker right? Here it is” like if he sat me down at the WSOP  :ROFLMAO:

A friend of mine very generously took and edited a LOT of very nice photos at a cash game a few months back. Small selection here.

#5 was rabbit-hunting for if they'd chosen to run it twice, IIRC.

I did end up getting an actual (standard) poker table eventually so the self-seriousness is slightly less self-aware now. Probably should've been higher up the list of priorities, but the little bells and whistles were too tempting while aiming a bit too high in waiting for the right time to get a custom table.

I really enjoy the photos from your games. I wish I could get my crew to play as often as you guys do.
I am very spoiled & fortunate to live near so many great Bay Area Chippers who love to play. If you’re ever in town please reach out as I know a guy who can get you a seat!
