Official Home Game Pics Thread! (109 Viewers)

Told the guy next to me "We'll c'mon deal me the nuts" and so he went on and actually flop me the nut flush and action player kept on betting into me.
When the river came, I was pretty certain he had a 4 when he put me all-in but not sure about his 2nd card. Had another guy behind me left to act and I've ended up making a laydown that was a first for me, which ended up being correct :)

Final goodbye to my 'The Mint' chips after getting me into chipping. Glad they found a good home.

How is it that on this forum, people bemoan 2-hour tournaments because they are "just flips", then invent games that are JUST FLIPS!?!

The answer is within your question, MJ! The issue is not the flip, but the 2 hours... Why waste 2 hours when it can be done in 2 minutes? :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Jokes aside, I get your point and agree we are going a bit too far on some of those games. I've been extremely bored with some of them, since it takes more than an hour to get through an orbit, no folds pre, etc... Just boring. But in fairness, I like poker way, way more than the gamble, so I might be in the minority...

Gotta agree. A couple of these games go too far. I'll do a flip once in a while to be social but why play for 6+ hours, only to gamble the same amount in 20 minutes doing flips to end the night? That part never made sense to me.

I love Scarney, Archie, and Drawmaha like the next guy, but I think I'll get up when anything with a wild card like Follow The Queen or a game like Popcorn is called at a meetup and it's pot limit.

^ Not only is OmaBacc miles better than OmaJack, it's actually a fun game. But maybe that's me in the South Park pic above too.

Got any during incident pics? Or post?

No draw or anything ya? Just with the hole cards not used for omaha I assume? Deal 4 or 5? Sounds fun!
Deal 5. You don't get to choose your final hand; you have to play the two cards that make your best Omaha hand no matter what. If your best Omaha hand is a straight and there is overlap with cards in it from your hand, you have to commit the two highest cards from the straight to the Omaha hand. The remaining three cards are then used for Baccarat like normal.

I don’t like this. You should be able to make your best poker hand but also make your best baccarat hand. Was discussed in the omajack thread.

Disagree. Then this locks the nuts for half the pot before the preflop betting. No game should prpvide that degree of free roll.

You still have to hit the straight. There is no lock, but wrappy 8s/9s should have an advantage pre. This is like saying a dealt 47-49 in 49 shouldn’t be entitled to win the Omaha portion in 49.

fair - I misread (I read it as choices from the jump). But, ultimately, the game is about not having choices on either side - don't like the idea of being able to work into a choice.
