Current home game setup. Hoping to score another table in the near future to be able to host some MTT’s on the backyard patio. We typically run a quick tournament game to get everyone warmed up followed by some low stakes cash. Currently playing with Apache chips but plan on acquiring a higher end cash set to bust out when the more serious players join in on the fun.

Will be sure to update here as the grand vision comes to fruition.

Struck a deal with @MrSonOfABeech (flawless communication/transaction overall) to up the Royal chip count and picked up some $10’s from Poker Merchant to add to the mix. Looking forward to the higher stakes games!

Last weekend with @Godzilla28 @sethwanab and @Vinyard at a holdem/omaha game hosted by a fun local with a “once per orbit dealers choice split double board bomb pot”. @Godzilla28 I think I got that right but feel free to correct lol. As the evening wore on the called games got crazier. Was called a name that could also be referred to as a cat for vetoing no-limit midnight baseball. Maybe they’re right but maybe not.

Anyways, great food and poker setup, although the chips would look better after cleaning. Trying to get the host over here for an ultrasonic session.

Was told the hooker juice is authentic, though…

Got the Limit set rebuilt and back in action playing a lively mix game - (Badugi at the moment) , along with Cigars, Beverages and the Braille Deck, (for a Vision impaired/Blind player).

I’ve gotten a couple of questions about the Braille cards and how Don plays with them, so here’s a cleaned up overhead picture of his setup with him at the table. ( this is 4/8 limit game, soon to increase as usuall )

He and We prefer the Bicycle paper Braille cards over the plastic ones. While the paper cards can crease and aren’t as flexible, the plastic versions have Braille bumps that are very visible (as you can see in this picture) because the dimples are oversized, when stacked as a full deck, they sit too high, making the deck unstable and prone to sliding. Also, If someone learned to read Braille, the card values could be identified too easily. With the Bicycle deck, the Braille markings are significantly smaller and the Bicycle pattern makes it harder to distinguish when viewed directly, which helps maintain fairness.

As for chips, the players sitting next to him help sort and stack them. Don uses extra Braille cards as markers to identify chip values—Ace for $1, 2 for $2, 10 for $10, King for $20, etc. Since he mainly plays limit (and usually comes out ahead), organizing his stacks has become part of the fun for us. Once the chips are arranged, he can shuffle, build towers, and play just like anyone else.

He might not be able to see the chips, but he sure does accumulate them.

Finally got the Vineyard $5s into play last night - very cool to see one of my first PCF chipping goals come to fruition.
Also very successfully tried out @Kam s idea - bomb pot Omaha and double-board Pineapple at the top of the hour, which was our game's first time doing split pots or doubles - that led to some serious action . (They were really not interested in Scarney, despite my salesmanship).
Bonus was @_j_dog joining our game. We have the start of a PCF crew in Spokane!
