Seeing folks who are able to host from their garages and backyards makes me a bit envious. In Texas it's too hot most of the time to host in the garage unless you have an AC unit built into it. If the heat doesn't get you, the mosquitos will.

How do you guys handle bathroom breaks? Is there a uninal built into a corner somewhere? lol
Just go pee outside! I don't have any neighbors so don't gotta worry about privacy. Mosquitos aren't too bad in the garage but I run a thermacell starting in the spring. And there's a good 3 months it's pretty hot.

I run this as well in the winter time. I have a bullet heater too that I'll run before the start up to heat up the garage initially

@Poker Zombie and @Mrs Poker Zombie ran their game last night and it was a survivor tournament. Cash out for the chips in your stack when the bubble breaks. $30 for $27 in chips and then a $30 optional add-on which most took advantage of.

I’d say it was a pretty successful night!

Pretty humble way to say "In for $60, out for $567".

Between you and Mrs Zombie, the two of you took 80% of the 5-way prize pool.

Played $1/$1 stake over the weekend. Diamond Jacks are in play and a couple of the players handed mint/excellent condition Paulson for the first time and are in awe of them, chatted with them for extended period after the session end and who know we might have a couple new chippers in the next incoming months.

Poker wise, got a couple steal and bluff through early on building the stacks up to $260/270+ before getting cooler when my Set of 3 vs a Set of 8 with J3s where we went all in on 853J turn. Lost another $100 when my 65s squeeze after 1 raiser and 6 ppl call didn't paid off.

Top up another $200 (in for $600 at this point) and down about $300+ for the night after the first half of the session.

Cool myself a bit afterward and 2nd half of the session is a breeze, Rivered the Nut FD after jamming on the turn and get called. Trapping with JJ successfully and get pull on a Q high board. Got max value with 2 Pairs vs better 2 pairs, fold and turn a boat with 54s and also floping a Boardway with KJo on the BU and get paid max. Also, fold a QQ correct on the flop and another incorrect fold of JJ.

All in all, In for $600 Out for $845.

As of now I have 2 fans bowing in opposite sides so there's air movement but that doesn't do anything if it's 95 degrees out and humid
I was going to say I guess no big deal cuz you're up north. But yeah, those temps are brutal. Which is why my soon to be built workshop/poker room will be insulated and air conditioned.
