I have been using Copags for almost a year now. However, I have wanted to venture out for a couple of reasons; one, being that I want to see what else is out there and two, the strong chemical smell that comes off of them is unbearable. I have purchased several Copag setups to see if perhaps it is a one-off issue but that is not the case. So below this, I have compiled a list of almost every card brand I could find and a vague indication of price. Below that list there will be a description for each brand as to where you can find them and a brief review of the card if I have had experience with them.

Before I begin I want to thank all the people who have contributed in the surrounding threads to help me compile this little list. If there are others that I have not mentioned, please feel free to name them as well as where you might be able to find them, the cost (doesn't have to be exact), and your experience with them. Without further due...

Current List
Bicycle Prestige: $
Marion Pro: $
Lot Fancy: $
Gemaco: $ - $$$
Modiano: $$
Fournier: $$
Dal Negro: $$
Royal: $$
Faded Spade: $$$
Kem: $$$$

Bicycle Prestige
Can be bought off Amazon or other online websites. They feel very similar to Copags with a slight hint of the Copag smell, however very faint. Easy to shuffle, they have that sandy like texture.

Marion Pro
Can be bought off of Amazon and other online website like texaspokersupply.com (as of February 27, 2025)

Lot Fancy
Can be bought off of Amazon and Walmart

Gemaco
Can be bought manufacturer-direct in large quantities at a minimum of 2000 on their website (for those who are maybe running their own card rooms). I also found them on kardwell.com (as of February 27, 2025)

Modiano
Can be bought off of pokerchiplounge.com and Amazon. (as of February 27, 2025)

Fournier
Seem to be harder to find. It appears you can purchase them off Amazon however, you cannot get them consumer-direct.

Dal Negro
Also harder to find but it appear you can purchase these off of Dal Negro's shop which is not English. I'm assuming you will also need to pay an expensive shipping fee.

Royal
These can be bought from a few places. I have just bought a set of Royal cards, and am very disappointed. They riffle nicely however, they have a glossy-flat finish on them which I believe makes them extremely hard to push together. I would even say that they are as bad or worse than the Bicycle cards you can get at Target or Walmart.

Faded Spade
Can only be bought consumer-direct.

KEM
You guys know the story with KEM. Can't hate, but can't love 'em? They're not trash, but for the price?

Kardwell has also regularly had numerous Dal Negro decks for a good price. People have had a range of experiences with them, and I've had mixed.

im interested to try them, are they a very smooth finish or a more textured finish? I find that the textured finish often shuffles a bit better.

You are missing Broken Arrows cards from this site. I like them but I am not a poker player. From what I have seen, it seem the big issue is the ink fades a bit. The newer decks fixed the issue with the clubs design.

Hello everybody I see your additional reccomendations and will create an updated post on this thread very soon! Thank you for your contributions!

Hello everyone, here is an updated list based on a few other cards which I have added... The added ones are highlighted in bold.

Da Vinci
These can be bought off of Amazon and I also believe that they can be bought consumer-direct at davinciplayingcards.com

Desjgn
These cards can be bought off of here from @desjgn and I have read many great things about these cards. The pricing also seems to be very fair.

Broken Arrow
These are also another smaller boutique card brand such ass desjgn which can be bought off of this forum. I have also heard many great things and the pricing is also very good.

Angel
Angel playing cards seem to be very loved by those who can manage to get there hands on them. Particularly the club poker cards. I believe I have had a very old deck of Angel playing cards a long time ago and I enjoyed the quality of them.

Cartemundi Belgium, if you can find them. I think The Poker Store (Denmark?) has them. Definitely worth searching out.

Also, I like Trefl a lot. Decent cards, nice full bleed backs.

Desjgn are amazing, and I honestly think the other Copag lines (Uniques for example) are great.

Definitely get some Broken Arrow, the existing ones already available, and the bridge size professional series should be here any day.

NTP make amazing cards, but I only have poker size decks from them.

They have few different stocks that they print they cards of...
Grand Slams are are very different from Texas DalNegros.
And be mindful of NTP brand made by DalNegro, sort of Platiniums in their offer

NTP makes bridge size too, but I only seen sold by sets

Not anymore. All sold out worldwide as far as I know. If there are any for sale, I'd buy them all up.

Statesmen
While I could not find very much information on the pricing for Statesmen cards, they have good reviews and can be acquired from @xdan

Bicycle Prestige

Trefl
Trefl cards seem to be liked by a lot of people on the forum here and fairly inexpensive. I believe if you would like to get a hold of a set of these you can talk to @surfik

Was going to make a post asking if Faded Spade were available other than its own retail site, until I saw this. Thanks @yabadoo .
I really like their bold index. Is there another brand that features that at a better price point?

Some brands available on Amazon that arent on your list. I posted mini reviews but I added a short comment on them. They are all a little better than your run of the mill China Copag knockoffs -

Gutshot (interesting texture on the card back)
Slowplay (2 variants. Stiff especially when brand new. lovely back design)
Gem (not as stiff as I thought it would be but rough around the edges)
Bullets (I remember the ones I got a few years back were extremely stiff. Durable as heck though).

Just bought a setup of Aces 2.0, which are four-color plastic decks. Will be playing with them later this week after which I'll do a review, but so far, really like the feel. Slight texture to back, simple to read, unique imagery.

I got a setup of Slow play a couple months ago and hated them immediately. Slick and flimsy feeling.
I’ve tried about 11-12 different kinds of plastic cards now and Slowplay are firmly at the bottom of the list for me. Slick is an understatement.

I don’t consider them “flimsy” at all, though. They’re like shuffling credit cards. Mine are insanely stiff.

Agreed, stiff as heck. Couldn't say flimsy was a word to describe them.

Their new Purple and Gold premium version felt more supple when I opened the decks but I haven't tested them for flexibility yet.

Yeah, upon second reading, flimsy was the opposite of what I meant.
You want slick? I just got a new deck of Cybergon 4 colors from Amazon (only 4 color jumbo plastics I saw so I gave em a try)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2J6DBW8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

At any rate they were ok in terms of suppleness for an obvious China PVC deck. The case was a kinda cheap plastic shell and the green and blue suits were just as washed out looking as other 4 color decks (why IS that btw?).

But they are SO slick. Balanced the deck in the palm of my hands and moved my hands a little and boy did it just slip and slide. I swear if I put grease on em it would have made it more stable. Ah well.

That describes the Slowplay cards perfectly! I just got them out and tried what you did, and it's the exact same thing - it's actually kind of difficult to hold your hand still enough to not have them slide all over the place. The cards glide on each other like air hockey pucks.

I've never tried a 4-color deck but I love the idea of it. I'm hoping Broken Arrow does some group buys in the future that are 4-color jumbo. The Faded Spade ones look pretty cool, but from what I've read it seems like they'd be too thick/stiff for my taste and it's hard to justify throwing $40 at a deck of cards just in the hope that I like them.

Air Hockey! Exactly LOL!

One difference about thes Cybergons and Slowplay is the Cybergons are nowhere near as stiff.
