Interesting, our situation happened on 10/3/19. Looks like the VBPD had a nice little Civil Asset forfeiture campaign rolling against poker in private residences. I have no clue who could have previously owned those chips.

In addition to OPs seizure of cash, chips, and legally owned weapons (Also by the Virginia Beach PD) were my PNYs and Crystal Parks. I kept the tape on the PNYs but the Wood case was a very custom and sentimental build and I needed to remove the tape to restore the case's dignity.

I'm not sure if to be happy or sad.

On one hand, the police helped one of our kind get out of shit chips, on the other hand they are trying to dup a would be 'one of us' into purchasing shit chips...

i agree with the confiscation- super low end and easily counterfieitable chip to be using if it was a big “gambling house” like they mention. To the owner of the chips: hopefully you are happy to be relieved of these chips and can now go and purchase a better set.
