THC - Top Hat and Cane
RHC - Reverse Hat and Cane
....... as far as I know.
There's a few others...Thanks Linky. Did not know there was a 3rd mold. I’m assuming the I stands for inverted.

Very generally speaking, there is much more demand among chippers for THC mold Paulsons vs. RHC mold Paulsons. THC is more durable than RHC, in that the THC hat and cane depression is further removed from the edge of the chip than the RHC, which makes it less prone to chipping/breakage near the chip edge over time. It is also speculated that THC costs more to produce than RHC, so casinos order RHC more often now in order to keep costs down, even though their life cycle is shorter and requires replacement sooner, which might also explain why there are more ceramic and plastic casino chips than ever before.
When building playable Paulson (mixed) sets, I believe the majority of chippers will try to match molds between denominations (all THC or all RHC). It was more common to see older casino chipsets with all THC molds (when they didn't use house molds), and more RHC series in more recent years. Every now and then a casino will use a mixture of THC and RHC in a single chip series (like some of the Horseshoes from Ohio).
It's just like discussing women's areolas. To me, all types are charming, and they should be mixed, to the extent allowed by one's wife.
Most guys here, though, prefer a more consistent approach.
THCs are supposed to sound "better" when shuffling them. They definitely sound different. Shuffle and decide for yourself (even this isn't going to be cheap).
