I'm building my new poker room and had the idea to do a epoxy bar top with poker chips. Don't want to use any chips worth a lot of money but I have some old chips from closed casinos that I can use.
Any suggestions on chips that would look good and be good conversation pieces?

I getting ready to build my new poker table and am looking for ideas.
Current table is set up with RFID system and would be reusing it in new table.
Table will seat 10 with no dealer section (home game use and deal moves with button).

Starting construction of a new home to include the new poker room. We use a RFID table with PokerGFX software and stream to twitch from time to time.
I'm looking for suggestions on small video cameras that work well to stream with.

Building new poker room (as if you did't know that yet!!) and need suggestions on comfortable chairs. Not looking to spend a lot since 10 chairs will add up quick.

Welcome. Good luck with your projects. :cool

People here seem to go gaga over Gasser chairs. A lot of members scour local Craigslist ads for people liquidating these types of chairs. Lots have been scored for $20 each or less. I think new retail they go for $200-300 each.

Gassers for sure. Be patient and search CL and FB. Well worth the wait. Perfect for sitting for long sessions

Thx, these are perfect.
Looks like I'm doing a road trip to Vegas once I am able. Found a few for sale but all are local pickup only.

I wish I could play poker at your place John! It's so elegant! I'd pay alot for those chairs but I've never seen any for sale in my area.

I also don't use Facebook, so that's a detriment to myself I guess.

Those chairs are the nuts!

Thanks man. Always welcome if you are ever way down south haha

I got super lucky for sure! Plenty for my game and a couple other PCFers

Looking forward to seeing the poker chip epoxy bar top! I’m a few years away from refinishing my basement, but that is one of my definite features I look forward to putting in

If you can't find gassers, I have been very happy with these: https://www.amazon.com/Flash-Furniture-HERCULES-Premium-Folding/dp/B00EQ1TEKQ/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=hercules+chair&qid=1586818773&sr=8-4&th=1

Less than $30/ea shipped and have been comfortable enough for our games.
these are great. I have a few. Fortunately for me, when i got them, Hercules distributor had a warehouse in north Georgia that i could pick them up at (no shipping for me).

Not sure how much u r looking to spend on chairs, But find a chair u like at staples (or Office Depot) and then ask to speak to the business representative (buying for conference room, etc). U can get a much better deal that way. Got close to 40 percent off. A number of my hosting friends have gone that way and got decent deals. Chair are delivered right to ur house. Just a thought.

How many did you buy?

I really wanted a set of used Gassers for my poker room and searched in my area, but couldn't find any for sale in bulk. Ended up settling for these Hercules banquet chairs through Office Depot.

The thing I like about them is they're built to hold up 500 pounds. I have some big guys that play at my home game and it's perfect for them (attached a photo of how the chairs look like at the table).

I'll eventually upgrade to Gassers if/when I find them for sale in my area.

i have gone on a crazy long journey for chairs. If you consider it a “long game” then you’ll come out on top, but I (like many) was impatient and wasted a ton of time and money...

I echo people’s advice to scour craigslist/marketplace for chairs. Search office chairs, banquet chairs, stacking chairs, etc. don't get discouraged, as this can take a while. I too heard all these crazy tales of people finding gassers for cheap, but for months I couldn’t find anything. I got discouraged, then settled on some lesser chairs to tide me over. These were reclaimed stackable bar chairs.. uncomfortable, but probably more comfortable than folding chairs... I went through several upgrades to various stacking chairs, etc.. Then all the sudden, I landed a sweet score of Hon Task Chairs. These retail for $350 each and I scored them for $9 each, and they were practically new... then I scored some more Hon chairs, same kinda crazy deals.. it was finally happening! Then I realized that I had too many Hon chairs, that were taking up a ton of space in my storage room. I set out to find stackable gasser chairs. Eventually I found a country club that was redoing their decor and I snagged 20-30 gassers, at like $4-5 each. These arent the prettiest chairs, but gassers are a work of art unto themselves. It’s the comfort aspect that makes them attractive. And now I have Hon chairs for my full time table setup, and enough Gassers for two full spare tables I use for the MTTD and larger tourneys I host. Gassers stack away, so the wife is happy.

I looked into the Hercules chairs, and determined them to be on the wide side, and a tad lower than your standard poker table height.. you’ll need add on cushions likely.

TLDR: take ur time. Don’t settle for “ok” chairs.

Hon task chairs.

Excellent point. I neglected to mention that aspect for my 10 Hercules banquet chairs. I ended up buying 2-inch seat cushions on Amazon to put on top of the chairs and it works for now. The Hercs will hold me over until I eventually score some Gassers. One of these days I'll run into them and will scoop them up in a hurry. It's a dream I have...
