I’m new here ,my name is David and very curious about a lot of things that I’m not knowledgeable about. I’ve poked my nose in here and looked around for a while but just starting learning what some things are like (Tina). I run a home game with a tournament followed by cash game using all abs chips. I’ve been looking to upgrade and thought I was deciding on a cash game chip from Apache and a tournament set from Monte Carlo but after seeing some posts about group buys I’m very interested but I’m worried about quality, feel and all that and I just don’t understand how it all works. I’m not stupid but my reading and writing comprehension is bad at times and I’m just a little slow learner lol. Any advice would help k, thanks

Thank you!so are all of the group buys from the same manufacturer and or will have the same feel, weight, ect? I see different molds and I believe know what that means but other than that I’m lost lol.

The main difference in samples will be label versus no label:

Cards mold and No mold chips will have the design printed directly onto the chip (no label).

Web mold, Jester mold, Sun mold, and Greek mold chips will have a recessed center for a label. These chips will have a different feel compared to the no label molds.

If you get samples of each mold, then you can decide which mold has the weight and feel you prefer.

Thank you so much for explaining to me. Maybe I should have asked different questions though. Are these different molds made from different materials? Like ceramic or clay composite or are they all the same?
