New member from Northern Ireland. Looking to start a home game, one table, 8 players. I’m down a rabbit hole with chips and the variety available. Unfortunately for me all the really nice looking ones are expensive and NA this side of the pond. Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I’d suggest sitting on your current set or getting some cheap chips for the time being.

Then you can take your time getting a really nice set since you are limited. Check out @Apache chips at his shop. Got chips of all sorts.

Thanks all. There is no current set lol. We’re starting from scratch here. We know how to play but you could write our chip knowledge on the back of a stamp! I guess starting cheap is the way to go. I’d like to purchase off this site but carriage to NI would possibly be more expensive than the chips themselves!

Welcome! Most sellers will also get you the chips as long as your willing to pay the shipping price. I have seen a quite a few partial sets selling in Europe as well.

A lot of PCF'ers will turn up their noses at any cheap chips, but that's not me. Some cheap sets are decent, and others are trash. My experience has shown me that most normal people are impressed with chips that look decent and have the denominations on them. They wouldn't be more impressed with leaded THC's with shaped inlays. Shoot, they may even prefer the cheap ones.

I suppose you could find a European vendor, or maybe just order from America and pay the ridiculous shipping. Or maybe there could be a Euro group buy from Tina. Hope you can find something that works for you.
